Hi everyone, it's Sarah from Hair Thursday, and today
I'm going to talk to you about how to achieve that drop-dead,
sexy, gorgeous bedroom hair.
When you think of that sexy bedroom type hair, you don't
really think of the really straight and sleek hairstyles.
Those are lovely hairstyles, but when you're trying
to achieve this kind of bedroom look,
your hair needs to have a little bit of volume in it,
a little bit of bend, or some loose waves, just to kind of
give it that sexy volume that you're looking for.
So, the first step really is to create that kind of wave
or bend in your hair.
And if you have naturally wavy hair,
you really don't have to do much at all.
Or if you have really super straight hair,
you're going to want to use a curling iron,
or some hot rollers to create that kind of loose wave.
And I have actually two separate videos here on Style United.
One talking about hot rollers, and one talking about
how to create the waves with a curling iron.
You can definitely go back and watch those videos
if you want to learn how to create those really loose,
natural-looking waves.
Today, I created these waves with a curling iron, just very,
very quickly went through around my hair and just kind of created
a little bit of a bend, as you can see, or a little
bit of wave, and that's all you need to do for step one.
Now, to really make your hair look kind of that tousled,
and just like you've been rolling around in the sheets,
you need to put a little bit more volume in it.
And I have found a Holy Grail product
for creating this kind of hair.
There's actually dry shampoos now that are meant to give
your hair a little bit of texture and volume as well.
So, when you're out and about, look for a dry shampoo
or a texturizing spray and that's really going to take
your hair from plain waves to over-the-top sexy bedhead hair.
So the one I'm going to use today is by Oribe, it is
the dry texturizing spray and you basically shake this stuff
up and you spray it around your hair where you're wanting to get
a little more lift and volume, and create some texture.
And it actually acts as a dry shampoo, too,
so it's a really a wonderful product.
So what you want to do is after you've created your waves,
I take this Oribe and shake it up.
And if you excuse me a second, you want to flip your head over
and kind of spray the spray all around the crown and the roots,
and wherever you want to get some more volume.
So, shake it up, flip your head over...spray this in --
and by the way, this smells so good.
And then you kind of just want to rub it in where you want
the texture, and this is going to create that
kind of volume, and the kind of matte look.
As you can already see just from spraying that in my hair,
this is how much volume has gone on,
it's pretty amazing these texturizing sprays.
And then you just kind of want to work your fingers through...
take your hands and run it through
and create that volume all the way around.
So see, it took literally, ten seconds to go from a sleeker
wave to create these kind of tousled, roll around in bed,
sexy kind of hair.
If you're in the market for trying to achieve that bedroom
hair kind of look, might I suggest going out and finding
yourself a dry shampoo that's a texturizing spray,
because it can really take your hair from ho-hum
to vava-voom, really, really fast.
So, that's it.
How easy was that, guys?
Big volume sexy bedroom hair.
If you have any questions, be sure you leave them for me
in the comments.
I'll talk to you soon and have a great day.
Bye.
