Alright, so, this is our Bod Pod here at Clark College and basically it measures your body composition. It's a very simple
test as the subject. All you really need to do is sit in the chamber-- you'd be wearing a swim suit and a swim cap as body hair can
get in the way of the measurement or create a little inaccuracy-- the Bod Pod would be closed and you'd be sitting in here quietly
trying to be as still as possible for about 60 seconds and we'll do two to three measurements with that.
Basically, once we've done that we get measurements based on body volume, that's how the science behind it works is it's
displacement of air and we can calculate body volume from that and density. Then with that data, we can get your body composition,
so percentage body fat, percentage lean body mass, and we can get an estimated resting metabolism or resting metabolic rate
with that. So, pretty simple test that gives you some useful data if you're looking to gain weight, lose weight, or maintain weight.
