Jaystepher presents a tutorial on a sectional sofa
that will be perfect for any Lego house
or office.
Before we begin the construction, let's take a look at the 36 parts will be using to construct
our sectional sofa.
All the parts here laid out are dark grey.
So let's begin:
We need three 1 by 1 flat tiles,
six 1 by 2 flat tiles,
five 2 by 2 flat tiles,
four 1 by 2 plates,
three 1 by 3 plates,
one 1 by 4 plate,
one 1 by 6 plate,
one 1 by 8 plate,
two 2 by 3 plates,
one 2 by 6 plate,
two 2 by 8 plates,
one 1 by 3 brick,
one 1 by 4 brick,
one 1 by 6 brick,
and 1 by 1 by 1 1/3 brick with arch.
So let's get started.
Let's start off with the base of our sectional.
Take a 2 by 8 plate.
Then I'm going to take two 2 by 3 plates.
We're going to place them side-by-side
along the side of the 2 by 8 plate.
Take a 1 by 3 plate, we're going to place it along this side of the 2 by 3.
And finally a 1 by 8
on the far left next to the 2 by 8.
Now we're going to need to lock in all our plates.
I'm going to take a 2 by 8 plate.
We're going to place it on the top.
to lock all the plates in
like so.
And a 2 by 6 to match the other side.
Next let's take a 1 by 2 plate.
We're going to place it here in the corner,
then a 1 by 3 plate,
and finally a 1 by 4 on the left.
So you have something that matches up both corners.
Now let's stick some 2 by 2 smooth tiles four our cushions.
I'm just going to set one here in the corner.
We have one stud. We're going to leave one stud all the way around.
Then we're just going to take two more smooth tiles.
Place them along the sides.
And our final last 2 by 2 tiles.
There's our seating area for our couch.
Now we're going to take a 1 by 3 brick.
We're going to place it along the back here..
A 1 by 4 brick,
and our 1 by 6 for building the back of our sofa.
To build up the arms of our couch, just going to take two 1 by 2 plates.
We're going to place one in here
and one on this side.
Let's take two 1 by 1 by 1 bricks with arch.
And I'm going to come we've going to take two
1 by 1 smooth tiles.
We're going to tile the top of these arches.
We're going to do the second arch.
And these are going to be the arms.
Just going to drop one of our arches here
and one on this side.
so we've got some nice rounded arms for our couch.
Now to build the back of our couch. We're going to take a 1 by 3 plate.
We're going to place it right here
to lock up our joint.
Now we're going to use a 1 by 2 plate.
Place it along side that 1 by 3.
And finally, a 1 by 6 plate.
Now we're going to take our last two 1 by 1 bricks with arch.
We're going to place them ...
One on this side of the arm and one on the other side.
This is going to build up the back of our couch just to round everything up.
Now to crown off the top here to hide our studs.
We're going to take six 1 by 2 smooth tiles.
We're just going to place them along the top here
on both sides of the arched bricks.
And to finish up this 1 by 1 slot,
we're going put a 1 by 1 smooth tile.
And there is our sectional couch or sofa.
This will be great for any
Lego house or office building.
And it is completely customizable. You can make it any length you want.
Any color.
Change the style up.
This is just a basic tutorial to show you how to construct
a basic simulated sectional sofa.
Thanks for watching!
