My favorite part of CalSO was just watching my son walking around the campus. It was really
exciting for me to see that he's going to be coming here to Berkeley.
The sense of community with the other parents and understanding what the FPF program was all about.
That was really useful.
The leaders are really great because they have really taken us to places, they have guided us through the whole experience.
And I think that is the great thing. The leaders are great.
Just listening to the experiences of the first-year students.
Very nice, and very, very informative. I learned a lot of things about how to let go of my son, let him
grow, and learn that he's a grown up young man now.
Well, the kids were pretty enthusiastic. That's a good thing. Seemed more enveloping then, sort of a community. I didn't
quite expect it, because it's a big school. So that's quite nice. Oh, I guess learning the Time Warp rock again. Oh yeah,
that's a great movie. It's good to know that it's still going strong, because we remember when it came out. It's our own little time warp.
The end actually with the band and seeing the synopsis of the kids. And what they were experiencing, seeing
that they were happy.
The most useful part was just the general overview, from finances, how to pay tuition, to the meal plan, to how they're supposed to
be doing their schedule, to firsthand accounts of all the problems the kids would have, first-year students. So those
things kind of make you at ease. So that you're not experiencing everything for the first time after classes start.
That you kind of have a firsthand experience before that.
I think it was great talking to the other parents and hearing the student perspectives of kids who have gone through the program.
I liked the energy, how much energy was present. It was well planned, well organized, and well delivered.
Getting the information and understanding how their life will be on campus, so we have a glimpse of what's going to happen
when they're going to be here. I think that's the best thing I got out from the program.
Oh, what's going on. Am I out of...?
