South East Water provides water and sewerage services to over 1.6 million Victorian users.
Your quarterly South East Water bill incorporates fees for all of our services
in addition to charges that we administer on behalf of other authorities
It also sets out detailed information about your water usage during the billing period.
The front page of your South East Water bill provides an overview of your personal information
and details of the charges incurred during the current billing cycle
The first piece of information on the bill is your name and billing address.
To the right of the billing address is a list of important numbers for billing and service inquiries.
down the left hand side of the page you'll find your account summary
starting with the property address associated with this bill
below the property details is a summary
of current charges starting with details of your previous charges and payments received
your current southeast water charges include your water usage
and service charges for the billing period the account summary
also list the charges from other authorities which can include the annual
parks charge
and the quarterly waterways and drainage charge
to the right of the account summary
is your customer number, the due date for the current bill
and the total amount due. This information
along with the property details is repeated in the tear off section at the
bottom of the page
the second page of the bill contains more detailed information relating to
all of the charges associated with the current bill
firstly let's look at your meter reading details
on this line you'll see your meter reading for the current bill
followed by the reading for the previous billing cycle the difference between
these two numbers
is your current water usage measured in kilolitres
this is the last number on the line this section also provides an approximate
date
for your next meter reading below the meter reading
you will find your usage charges this breaks down both your water usage
and sewage disposal charges associated with the current billing period
the water usage charge translates the water usage
as recorded by a meter reading into feeds for the amount of water used at
your property
during the billing period. The sewage disposal charge
covers the safe collection treatment and disposal of sewage
following the usage charges are your water and sewerage service charges
these charges are contributions that everyone makes
towards the ongoing upgrade and maintenance to the water delivery and sewage
disposal systems
that bring water to your property and take waste away these charges cover
infrastructure
like pipelines as well as the maintenance to ensure that we can
deliver safe
and high quality services. The sub-total at the bottom of this section
represents the total of all South East Water charges for the current billing period
in addition to your southeast water charges as part of the water bill
we are required to administer charges on behalf of other authorities
once a year we collect the park's charge on behalf of the Department of
Environment and Primary Industries
