Hi everyone ( ^ ^ )/
today I'd like to share with you
a little tip on the 9 sounds and 6 tones (ไน่ฒๅ
ญ่ชฟ) in Cantonese
well I know having a tonal system
doesn't sound good to most of you
so instead of explaining the minor details and differences behind
let's start off by practicing two simple sentences
which could (hopefully)
transform you into the master of the 6 tones in Cantonese
alright, let's get started
PLZ SUBSCRIBE!!! >v<
the first one is:
(don't worry, I'll repeat it again slowly ^ ^ )
the second one should be super easy
for those of you who have watched the previous tutorial
on counting numbers in Cantonese
and that is:
but wait @.@
according to ไธ็ขๅ ็่
ฉ้บต ไธ็พ็ข
or
ไธไนๅ ้ถไบไบ ไธๅ
ซๅ
ญ
isn't there 9 tones in Cantonese?
actually because the last three tones
tone 7, 8 & 9 are entering tones
which are just a shorter ver of the first 3 tones
in jyutping system
they are combined at as 6 tones instead
Here's a demonstration
for you to listen and identify the minor difference
if you find this part too confusing
don't worry ^ ^
just forget about what I've said in the last 30 secs
and practice with the shorter version
or
I believe that you'll still be able
to manage the six tones in Cantonese ( ^ ^ )/
and yeah, that's it for today >v<
