I'm standing here in front of Tivoli, which is the second oldest amusement park in the
world. It's located here in the heart of downtown Copenhagen, Denmark which is pretty neat.
and they have a special tonight where they are doing fireworks all week in honors of
christmas and new years. Now right now, I have made my way into Tivoli
and uhh I'm in kinda one of the largest open spaces that has several different rides. It's
absolutely amazing how it's sandwiched between the central train station and downtown copenhagen.
It really is right in the heart of the city and uhh feels a lot like a giant park as much
as anything, and I guess it's why its an amusement park but it is more modern than I expected
and has a lot of unique rides. They have done an incredible job decorating both for the
holidays and in general so it is definitely a unique experience and quite enjoyable.
Now, Tivoli is a pretty incredible venue for lovers, this is an amazingly romantic place
to walk around and it really takes that amusement park charm and builds on it. There is a crescent
moon under this gorgeous, giant heart tree to just kinda drive that point home tonight
and a little taste of russia here to go with it. Not bad.
So we are located down by the main lake in the heart of Tivoli and it is absolutely incredible.
You can see one of, if not the largest rollercoasters in Denmark the Demon. Because it is pretty
cold here, it is the end of December, we stopped by to pick up glock, glog, glook, glogg, which
is a fortified wine, err rather, a heated wine which is fortified by some type of Alcohol.
We opted for a little bit of rum and it sweetens it up and tastes absolutely delicious while
warming our hands and our bodies. Check it out.
So, we are on smuggler's alley here in the heart of Tivoli. It is a funky street full
of shops, with the roller coaster actually running right on the other side of it you
can hear people scream as they come racing by from time to time. It's a pretty neat little
place, it does kinda feel a little bit like one of those streets out of harry potter - something
like that. You can see the sign. Even some steam gives it that old feel.
