Hi This is ALia and welcome back to my kitchen!
Last week we made a breakfast meal that was Amazing!
Baked eggs in roasted tomatoes
Today, I'm also going to show you how to make a wonderful breakfast recipe
That will make your kids go WOW!!!
We're going to make a French Toast with a twist
French toast in French is called pain grillé, means the last bread
No goodies to eat it
However we dip it with some egg and milk mixture and fry it
It has a new life
We're going to give it a new life today with some nutella and bananas
All you have to do is get the ingredients below the video
and go to your kitchen
So Let's start!
First, let’s prepare the bread slices.
I am using brioche slices, but you can also use whole wheat toast
or any other type of flat bread you want.
Cut the edges of the toast
then using a rolling pin, roll the bread slices flat.
This makes them easier to roll up.
For the filling I am using a banana.
Peel and thinly slice the banana.
You can also use strawberries or any other fruit of your choice.
Spread on each bread Nutella or any other filling like cookie butter
chocolate spread, or anything you crave!
Place the banana slices on the bread and roll up!
It can not get easier than this.
Now let’s make the dipping mixture.
Place the milk in a large bowl, add the vanilla extract, and the eggs.
Whisk until well incorporated.
Melt butter in a pan over medium high heat.
Quickly dip the breads in the egg mixture, in both sides,
shake off the excess then place in the pan
Don’t keep the breads in the egg mixture too long or they will become soggy.
Cook for around 5 minutes until the bread rolls get a beautiful golden brown color on all sides.
Serve immediately while warm
check this out… so creamy, so chocolaty, so… exquisite
This is what I call a royal treat.
Eat with moderation because as you saw, this yumminess is full of flavors and calories.
Bon appetit!
