"Dixie State College is a four-year institution
and we are located in St. George, Utah,
which is about an hour and a half north of Vegas.
We pride ourselves on being the most affordable four-year
institution in all of western United States,
so if you're looking for a good deal,
Dixie is definitely a great option.
In order to be admitted into the school,
you'll need you transcripts,
your $35 application fee, and your application.
Dixie's unique in the fact that we are open enrollment,
so there's no required index score to get into the school.
Some of our highlighted degrees
and majors are our dental hygiene, our business,
communications, and nursing.
We also have other degrees such as biology, psychology,
secondary education, so if you want
to see what programs we offer, then you can just get
on our website at dixie.edu and check it out.
Scholarship opportunities at Dixie are great,
because 80% of our students are on some sort
of financial aid or scholarships.
Our deadline for academic scholarships is March 1,
but if you miss that, then you can apply for a multicultural,
private, leadership, departmental; we have a lot
of other scholarships you can apply for.
The good thing about Dixie is that it's open enrollment
and that you can apply up until the day before school starts
if you want to.
The best thing about Dixie is that the class sizes are small.
The average class size is about 24 students to 1 professor,
so you're really going to get
that one-on-one individualized attention.
Dixie is also a very social school
because everyone's outside.
The average temperature is 70 degrees year-round,
and we have palm trees and blue skies.
So I would suggest just coming to Dixie, let us take you
on a tour, we'll drive you around on a golf cart
and show you what we're all about.
