As a part of the four pillar structure of CST's Social Responsibility program
Community has rapidly become the most active pillar throughout the organization
contributing to the development of the local communities where we operate.
Since it's release in 2011 the Community pillar of our
Corporate Social Responsibility program has developed tremendously
thanks to the commitment of our employees to share their knowledge,
offer they time and creativity.
We are bringing back value to society specifically to the local communities
where we live and work.
We are currently active in more than fifteen countries including India,
China, Morocco, Germany,
United States, Mexico
England and France.
Emergency support and regular long-term support to community development
are the two main aspects in which CST's Community program
is collaborating with local communities.
We consider contributing to economic development and education key aspects in the creation
of a better environment for the company and our employees.
Besides our support of associations involved in emergency disaster relief operations
we are targeting 4 main types of activities
to fight the effect of poverty,
to support education,
to support employment
and create an efficient economic ecosystem.
However the success of Community is based not only on the proven enthusiasm
of our employees to improve their communities and the solid support of the company
it also relies on having a comprehensive but customized local plan.
We are adapting our actions plans to the local needs of each area according to
its economic profiles and reaching out to local organizations
which are in line with our objectives.
The more challenging areas are usually the most active in Community activities and
we see there a greater opportunity to help.
In all parts of the world whatever the economic level and general quality of life
you will always find tremendous challenges so we are ready to keep working
since no doubt there is still alot to be done
We look forward to engaging in more Community activities
seeking to empower individuals by providing them with the skills they need
to drive change in their own communities.
