Reset device: Soft reset. If the device is malfunctioning, press and hold the Power button. Tap "Restart". The device will take a moment to reset. Master reset. A factory data reset will remove all personal data from the device and restore it to factory settings. This action cannot be reversed. Swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers. Tap the Settings icon. Scroll to and tap "Backup & reset". Tap "Factory data reset". Tap "RESET PHONE". If prompted, confirm your PIN, pattern, and/or password, then tap "NEXT". Tap "ERASE EVERYTHING". The device will take a moment to reset. Alternate master reset. To perform an alternate master reset, with your device turned off, press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button. Hold the buttons long enough to see the ZTE/android screen. When the Android System Recovery screen appears, press the Volume Down button to scroll down until "wipe data/factory reset" is highlighted. Press the Power button to select. Press the Volume Down button to scroll down until "yes - delete all user data" is highlighted. Press the Power button to begin the reset process. When the Android System Recovery screen displays again, ensure that "reboot system now" is highlighted, then press the Power button.
