Today on The Stay At Home Chef I'm showing you how to make my Chocolate
Peanut Butter Swirl Milkshakes. Tomake this decadent dessert will need hot fudge
sauce, peanut butter sauce, vanilla ice cream, and milk. I've already shown you how
to make hot fudge sauce in another video so you can go ahead and watch it there, but right now
I'm gonna teach you how to make homemade peanut butter sauce. So go ahead and start
with 1/2 cup of melted butter in a bowl and add in 1 cup of creamy peanut butter.
Here's a great tip for you: when you have to measure out sticky ingredients like
peanut butter, spray the measuring cup with a little nonstick spray before you
measure it. This will make it come out a lot easier/ Now 1/2 cup of powdered
sugar. Use a hand mixer to mix this all together until smooth.
Set that peanut butter a side and we'll make our milkshake. I love thick milkshakes, the thicker the better, which
means I have to put in as little milk as possible to try and get the proportions
right. I'm going to add my milk in slowly so let's start getting some ice
cream. Alright that's probably enough ice cream. Now add a little bit of milk.
Add in about 1/2 cup and go from there
Next I'm going to pour half of this into my glass....kind of wish it was a little thicker... then I'll spoon in some of the peanut butter sauce, some of the hot fudge. Use a knife to swirl that in. Then the rest of my milkshake, more of that peanut butter sauce, and more hot fudge sauce.
I like to top it off with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
The recipes, including the recipe for the hot fudge sauce, are in the video description.
