Set number – 42043, Year of release – 2015, Parts number – 2793 Hello all! Today I’ll tell you about this big model. Since the review of the crane 42042 was very long I’ve decided to divide this review into three parts. The first part is about the contents of the box. I’ll tell about new useful parts. The second part would be about interesting moments of building, I’ll tell about mechanisms of the model. The third – main part – would be about the functions of the complete model. So it’s a flagship of 2015. There are about 200 parts more than at Mobile Crane 42009 (year of realize 2013). There are almost 2800 parts here. There is very interesting reversal of the box with functions description. At the box backside we can see B-model. I suppose it’s simpler than main model. We’ll see it later in another review. The box is heavy and filled. There are a lot of parts inside. Instruction is very thick. The thickness is more than 1 cm. At first I’ll tell about new parts. The main feature of this set is new pneumatic. You can see new big pneumatic cylinder. It’s really big in comparison with old cylinder. The length of the old one is 7 studs. The length of the new one is 11 studs, extended length is 17 studs. It’s great! Big length is necessary in many cases. Here we can see new thin cylinder. The rod is metal so it should be rather strong. The advantage of new cylinders is reduced in twice fixing width. As you can see at the photo new cylinders aren’t good for old brackets. But it is possible to fix it. And it would be twice length. New pneumatic elements have new inlets. I hope these new cylinders would be at other more affordable sets. The next new part is a gear rack. Its length is 14 studs. This is longer than the old one. Effective length of the old rack is 9 studs; effective length of the new one is 13 studs. New gear racks can be connected towards each other. There is specially designed holder for this gear rack. It’s necessary to insert the axle for fixing. I think gear rack can be used separately. There is new turntable such as at 42042 set. I’ve got angry review that I criticized this table. I just think it could be much better. I agree that it is stronger than the old one. But I'm waiting for a larger turntable. The last new part is a bucket. Here it used for clamp hook. There are a lot of parts in the set. I’ll tell shortly about interesting. At first there is some amount of white parts. Small panels in white color are meeting here for the first time. There are a lot of useful connectors, 8 shock absorbers (4 soft, 4 hard) and 10 new suspension arms. There are a huge number of gray panels: rectangular and rounded. There are 2 frames, L-motor and large actuator. There are a lot of gears in the set but they are not very diverse. So in my opinion this set is a very good donor.
