Songwriter Diane Warren reveals that she was inspired to write the song after watching the veteran actor confessed to his lady
Jul 11, 2018 AceShowbiz - A sweet comment from James Brolin about his love for Barbra Streisand inspired songwriter Diane Warren's end-of-the-world megahit I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
The hitmaker tells WENN she was watching a Barbara Walters TV interview with Streisand and her man when the veteran actor confessed he loved the Funny Girl icon so much, it was often hard to get to sleep
"He said he didn't wanna go to sleep because he'd miss her and I thought, 'Oh, what a great title
' so I wrote down the title," Warren recalls, "and when (disaster film) Armageddon came out, I thought, 'End of the world, that's probably a good time to write I Don't Want To Miss a Thing'
" The 1998 track went on to score Aerosmith their first U.S. number one, and landed Warren her fourth of nine Oscar nominations for Best Song
"I wonder if he still feels that way," Warren smiles. Related Posts Jul 11, 2018 Josh Brolin and Barbra Streisan's Love Story Is the Inspiration for 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing'
