I ♥ Drugstore Makeup TAG: Mall Hauls S02E1/8

Hi guys, and welcome back to Haul Rox with me Alana. So this week I'm super excited because um we're doing the I Love Drugstore Make-up tag. Now as much as I love all the higher end brands you can't always afford like the really pricey stuff. You need to have some sort of go-to drugstore make-up. So I'm going to go through all of my favorite pieces from blushes, foundation, to even brushes, so stay tuned. [Music] So first up I have this mascara. It's from Max Factor and it's called False Lash Effect. I have used this for so many years. It is the best mascara to sort of lengthen and thicken your lashes because the brush is humongous. It's yeah, really really big. It's ten pounds ninety-nine, um so, it is affordable but and it does last quite a long time. Everyday a work you don't want to be using like your best foundation, uh, this is the one I use like day-to-day it's Max Factor Lasting Performance. You don't want to be like apply, re-applying your make-up like throughout the day and this one like stays on and I think the coverage is really really good. It's nine pounds ninety-nine, um, so and I've had this one for so long. It lasts for ages. During the summer I use the number seven B B cream. You can get it in like normal to dry or dry to oily. Um, I've got normal to dry here and it's got UVA and UVB protection. It's uh, fifteen SPF. It kind of leaves your skin like looking quite glowy as well and really really flawless. But blusher, um, or for powder blusher, I've gone for this one by Sleek um, it's four pounds forty-nine, um which is so, so affordable for blusher. Sleek you can get in Super Drug and what's so good about this blusher is it's really really high pigmented. I mean like all of the Sleek products are super super high pigmented, um, I don't think you can see, um, but it's got kind of like this one is called Rose Gold and it's got a pink kind of like goldy reflector. So it kind of acts as like a blusher slash highlighter which I really like. It kind of doubles up as a two in one product. So when Top Shop brought out like a make-up line I was unsure about you know, how good quality it would be but I've been very pleasantly surprised. My actual favorite cream, um, blusher is actually the Top Shop one. Um,, it's called Blush Flush, um, and it's in a little packaging like this. It's so bright that you actually need like a tiny bit. Um, you can just dot it onto like your cheeks and give you a nice like flusher color. Um, what's quite cool about this one as well is it like doubles up as like a lip products as well so you can, you know, if you want a little bit of a pink tint to lips, um, this one works for that. I think everyone has tried or loves this um, this Bronzer. This one's from Bourgeois and it's just like the bronzing powder. Um, it's so cool because you can see it looks like a little chocolate bar which is always appealing. It's like a matte bronzer with a slight shimmer to it. This one works really well for like, and all over bronze color. Because it's only got like a slight shimmer to it actually works really good as like a contour as well and it's on six pounds ninety-nine which is great because these bronzers last so so long. I mean, I've had one for like six months. On to highlighter, um, I've gone for another Top Shop product. This one's called Glow and it's in the shade of polish. It's 9 pounds and it works as like a multi-use product. I normally just get a tiny little piece like that and dot it like on my cheek bones right here. You can also apply it like on your arch of your brow and the inner corners of your eyes to sort of like make your eyes pop. Um, yeah, it just sort of depends on like how you want to wear it but a little goes a long way with this product. For concealer I've picked this Rimmel Pick Me Up. It's in the shade True Iv. This one worked really well for like under the eyes so it gets rid of any bags or dark circles that you might have and it's really quite light, um, it's got like a little bit of reflector in there as well so it does brighten the eye area. And this one is five pounds forty-nine. If you haven't tried Sleek products you definitely need to. It's probably my favorite make-up, or drugstore make-up out at the moment. I picked up this palette, it's called i-Divine au naturale palette. Now the thing I hate about eye shadow palettes are you might get a palette and if you only like two, three colors in the palette but Sleek have done this like naturals palette and it has such amazing colors in it. This is like a really good like everyday palette. It's actually only seven pounds ninty-nine as well , so it's so so cheap for like how many colors do you get? you get twelve colors and that's awesome and you get like a mixture of mattes and shimmers. For kohl eyeliner pencil um, my favorite is the Bourgeois um, contour clubbing waterproof um, eyeliner. I love waterproof, um kohl pencils because you can put it in the eye line and it doesn't come off as much as non-waterproof ones. I like this one because it glides on so so easily. And you can see that. Now if you find it quite hard to apply liquid eyeliner I would definitely recommend a felt tip one. This one is by Soap and Glory and got super cat liquid black eyeliner pen. Like I said it's like a felt tip, it's so so easy to apply. You can kind of like rest it on your eye, like that, and like drag it across like that. That's obviously a bit too thick but yeah, if you take your time and do it properly. I'll try again. See, yeah, it's a little bit finer. It's six pounds and you can you can get Soap and Glory products in Boots and you can also get them online. If you're kind of like new to make-up and you're not sure what brushes to get, um, I recommend this, um, this set of brushes. It's the cool collection, um, by Real Techniques it's twenty pounds ninty-nine p. And it's awesome because you get like four brushes so it's so so cheap, like the amount of brushes you get. You get the foundation brush, which is this one, it's super soft. Um. this one, which is, it's really good for um, getting a nice contour and applying highlight. Um, this one which is, like a lip brush, um, but you can also use it to do, um, apply concealer. And this one which is a fluffing brush, you can use this one for liquid foundation, um, but I actually use it for a powder foundation at the moment. But it's really good at like working the product into the skin. So this it like a really good like starter pack. So back to Sleek, um, you know how much I love it. This is a lipstick and it's called Smother, I think. yeah, Smother and it's such a lovely color, actually it matches my nails perfectly, which is cool. And they have so many good colors and they're really long lasting. And this one is four pounds ninety-nine. For lip gloss my favorite is, um, Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker. It's kind of got that like lip plumping formula. So, as soon as you apply it you get like tingly feeling in your lips and it actually like plumps them. So it makes them look like bigger and fuller, um, which I love. Um, and they also have it in like a few different shades. This one is in shade Candy Gloss.
