What's up, everybody! E3 is officially here and Microsoft kicked off their presentation
today with the announcement that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is coming to Xbox
One...oh, and it's OPEN WORLD!
The video featured tons of new features, including multiple modes of transportation when we watched
Snake travel around Afghanistan, as well as unparalleled strategic freedom, and new modes
of stealth like hiding behind horses.
Along with the advertised deeper stealth action, a realistic passage of time was also advertised
and fan favorites like Kaz and Ocelot also made an appearance. New characters revealed
included Quiet, a sniper, Eli a young child, Skull Face... yes that's his real name, the
character that we've been teased by in the past trailers, Emmerich a tech character,
Code Talker, an old man, and those who do not exist, mysterious characters we've seen
in the past trailers, but have yet to find out more info on.
Recently, it was announced that Snake will be played by Kiefer Sutherland, and Microsoft's
announcement gave us our first look at this new Snake and his robotic arm accompanied
by text that read Men Become Demons. Perhaps he'll become the Big Boss we all know so well
from Metal Gear on the NES.
We will keep bringing you all the news, gameplay, and impressions with full live coverage of
E3 all week long, so keep it locked...this is IGN.
