MICHAEL ROSENGART: All right, guys. Welcome to athletic training for performance: bringing
It to a higher level. I'm your host, Mike Rosengart, for expertvilalge.com. Joining
with me are my fellow personal trainers, Ryan Regensburg and Jonesy, and we're here at Petranek
Fitness in Santa Monica, California. Today, our show is building strength. If you joined
us for our first show, it's more about conditioning the body, conditioning our body for this program
that we're going to set out in the course of four shows. So, right now, I just want
to say that before you're going into this workout with us, I want to make sure that,
one, you're hydrated. I hope you drank plenty of water beforehand. It's recommended to have
thirty-two ounces of water, two hours before you start exercising. So I hope you keep that
mind. And also, I hope that you have plenty of food into your system, too. The intensity
that we're going to be working out today is going to be pretty high, so it's going to
require a lot of energy and a lot of sugars in your system. If you don't have that, you're
not going to perform well today. Also, I want you to know that if you're feeling any pain
or discomfort in any of the exercises, please stop. It's better to err on caution and safety
than to try to push through it. Trust me, it's better to live to lift another day than
injure yourself and be out of commission for a while. So with that said, let us get going.
