My name is Corey Martinez and I am a professional BMX rider.
I'm bringing my friends on this trip to go film and ride motorcycles,
go camping, and just enjoy the open air.

Going out to California right now
I'm really looking forward to hanging out with the guys out there

♪ Hey I'm feeling kind of old school, how 'bout you? ♪
I've been coming to Southern California for a long time.
I pretty much come out here three or four times a year
just to hang out with all my friends.

Tony Neyer, to me, is this dude that is
kind of loud and obnoxious
but yet funny and just fun to be around.
- Yeah, he got me all the way up to about here.
He'll make a scene at any moment
but if you're involved you're gonna have the best time.
My name is Tony Neyer, I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio
I'm 27 years old.
I've been riding bikes for about 14 years now.
As a kid I had a fascination with trying to grind handrails.
At 14 years old the most important thing to me was
being able to double-peg a handrail.
I was like, "that would be sick."
The first video project I ever really worked on
was with Doug Horton,
this video called "Youth Destruction."
It was a video that he started when we were kids
then when we became friends we just would film everything
and it was all kind of for that, and
it wasn't anything serious, we kind of just were filming
all the stuff that, we just were doing,
and just having fun with it.
There was a good scene in Cincinnati at a time.
There were a bunch of pros that lived there:
Dave Jacobs, Chad Shack
Matt Bischoff, Adam [inaudible]
Colin Winkelmann, just tons of
people to look up to that you would see around town.

The next video project that me and Doug worked on
was called "From Nothing."
Pretty much the same thing, we had more friends
and we just took more trips and traveled all over.
We had an awesome crew of dudes
that just wanted to ride and get it in.
We didn't have sponsors or anything like that, so
we pretty much worked our *** off
to create money to be able to go on these little trips,
and to work on this video.
[Tony Neyer in "From Nothing, 2007 courtesy of Doug Horton]
That's like kind of what started my career.
Is like filming for that video.
We were getting photos, we were meeting up with photographers.
We were surprisingly really
motivated, for 16-, 17-year-olds.
I initially moved to Long Beach, just seemed like more of
an opportunity to do more with riding.
I was living in Cincy and hanging out with friends
and filming all the time and was being productive, but
just seemed like I constantly happened to come to LA
to get things done, and just trying to do something for
a living, you kind of just got to put yourself in the place
where it's possible to do that.
