Psy - Gangnam style

This week’s Music Monday will show you the deep and profound symbolism behind being utterly awesome, with PSY’s O O OH OPPAN GANGNAM STYLE! This is our first time talking about PSY in a Music Monday, and we’re so happy that Gangnam Style made it in for this week because we didn't have any chance to review his other songs THIS SONG AND VIDEO ARE BOTH AMAZING Wouldn't change anything PSY is Amazing We got to see him live last year for the YG Family concert, and I’d definitely say that he had the best stage presence and was the best performer there. So, we’d like to spend the time here, to gush on and on about why we think he's awesome See, 99% of the time, Kpop artists in their videos do their best to show you how sexy or attractive or cute or desirable they are They really take themselves extremely seriously, and we - most of the time - find it very amusing, since their seduction techniques doesn't work on us! With PSY, though, he doesn’t take himself seriously... all of the time. He takes dancing seriously He takes singing seriously and he takes making awesome music videos seriously But he doesn't take his pure *** energy all that seriously whatsoever and by whatsoever I mean not at all Let’s face it. He’s an older, stalky man, making music in a battlefield full of ridiculously good looking people. So it's pretty clear that he's not getting people into his music because of he's looks We're not saying that he's bad looking we're simply saying that he's look are aren't selling his music I'm pretty sure that he's not on your bias list because he’s so dreamy So well, other artist might have their albums sell even if the album suck people will still buy it because they are infatuated with the people. His looks won’t get you to buy his album if the album sucks, and while everyone is out there rubbing their lips, thrusting their crotches, showing off their long legs, hanging their mouths open, or staring at the camera with their puppy dog eyes and never blink PSY’s out there in his videos taking a dump in a toilet and snuggling up to fat sweaty guys in the sauna So what is there for us to say about this video? We can’t make fun of it, since it already makes fun of itself quite effectively, so we’d like to do an ode to this awesome song and video. EATYOURKIMCHI STYLE! Profound deep All other arguments are invalid Look at the scene with Yu Jay Seok He comes up in a red car, and wears a yellow suit, then challenges PSY to a dance contest Red, then yellow Do you know what comes next? Grasshopper Green. Green represents go, and we all need to get going on with our lives, past the pain. Lastly, the pain of working too hard is also a very pointing pain All of our lives are a toil, and - especially in Korea - where so many people are overworked, the theme of hard work is very important in symbolism The sweat of the brow is the symbol for working hard But, when we work hard we sweat from our heads and protect our eyes from stinging of the sweat by catching the sweat with our eyebrows But we can’t avoid the stinging pain forever, which is symbolized by Hyuna’s lack of eyebrows no seriously, were they just over tinted or over make-up What the hell happened to her eyebrows?
