Alexandra Palmer Presents Viktor&rolf Dolls

it's the north american premiere of the Victor&Rolf dolls and there's ten new ones that were made specifically for this exhibition by kind of rescaling then rethinking what fashion is how it should be presented Viktor&Rolf decided to put them in these scaled down miniature versions perfectly made on the custom-designed porcelain dolls. The dolls are made for them in individually Belgium they are hand-painted to emulate the makeup and the eye colour of the model who originally wore the design. They have these beautiful uh... ceramic heads. And the body is based on the nineteenth century mid-nineteenth century female doll so the shape of it is a woman shape. Here they're installed on the runway. And it's perfect with the lights, the catwalk everything else that was on the fashion show so these are replicas in a small scale kind of this askewed weird scale too Viktor&Rolf Dolls is on for the course of Luminato at the entrance to the ROM. It's free and we hope that as many people as possible come to see this amazing installation for the first time in North America
