Hi. I'm Eliciana Nascimento. As part of the conclusion 
of my Masters in Cinema, I've written a film titled, 
"The Summer of Gods" It's a very dear story to me. And I'm really excited 
to direct and produce it. Hello, I'm Danny Glover. And I'm Eliane Cavalleiro. We urge you to support Eliciana
in the making of her beautiful film, The Summer of Gods. It's a great story that 
comes from a unique voice. The world of cinema is 
missing voices like these. I have read her story 
and find it really touching. It's a short film
about a girl named Lili who has the ability to 
communicate with ancestors. She spends every summer in her 
great grandmother's village in Brazil where each year a ceremony 
is held for the Orisha Yemanja. Orishas are African gods 
who guide our lives. In Afro-Brazilian tradition, 
Yemanja is the orisha of the ocean, the mother to all Orishas, and mother to 
any person who comes to her for help. To preserve tradition, the Orishas 
take Lili on a mystical adventure through a nearby forest, 
to help her discover her mission as the successor to 
her great grandmother. I'm Julian Hoxter, and I teach 
screenwriting at San Francisco State. I had the pleasure and the 
honor of being Eliciana's professor during the development 
of her thesis screenplay. I think it's a wonderful script. It evokes place. I think
it evokes character. It introduces us to a world visually
that we just want to see on screen. It's one of the few screenplays that really makes me want to 
see what's written on the page. I'm Bill Nichols, a professor 
of cinema at San Francisco State. I have every confidence 
Eliciana can make this film. She's been working 
on it quite some time. And did an outstanding 
job preparing for it when she was working on 
proposing her thesis film here. Hey, everybody. 
I'm Ben Watkins. I'm helping Eliciana
