Selfies! They're all the craze. Ellen Degeneres' Oscar selfie with a couple of other Hollywood
stars was a record breaking one, and if it's good enough for the celebs, then it's good
enough for the lemurs at London Zoo. Bekily, a 12-year-old male ring tail lemur, took a
camera from a zookeeper and snuck off to take a couple of pictures.
1He just grabbed hold of the camera and just kind of took it away with him and we just
thought okay we'll see where this goes, and he just took some brilliant pictures. It was
really funny." He seems to have followed the selfie rules
too. Camera higher than your face, and using the natural sunlight to great effect. He doesn't
even need a filter! Lemurs are definitely not camera shy, and they are popular with
the public at the zoo. As head lemur and ruler of the pack, Bekily has quite a colourful personality,
so they weren't surprised when he took the camera. All Bekily needs now is his own photo
sharing app. You have to take quite a few pics to get the perfect selfie, and the number
one rule is you need to control which one goes out yourself.
