Hi guys, this is me Jalle blogging from the ice cube. This is the day before the first
game and all teams are allowed 20 minutes each to check out the ice condition. And it's
the same venue as the Olympics but the difference is that they have melted down the ice and
changed the logos. Now they have made new ice which was new yesterday. So actually nobody
knows the speeds of the ice, if it's going to be slow or fast. There's a completely new
team of ice makers making this ice so it could be a big difference. In Vancouver the ice
was two seconds slower. That is much slower for us wheelchair curlers than for the Olympic
games. Another thing, you see team Canada there and team Scotland here. Another thing
they're doing now is to check out the stones because the stones can also vary a little
bit. They can curl... the standard is two foot, they can curl up to two and half, three
foot, and some a little bit less. You have make control, or control and check out all
the stones you have control over and how they behave on the ice. That's the big work we're
doing. Here comes our coach looking at this. And we are about to go, Sweden, we're about
to go on the ice in an hour I think. So it seems like there's not much action but it's
a lot of action actually, because they are checking and writing down whatever is happening.
Okay, see you guys.
