Make a DIY Button Frame
For this project, we need a picture frame,
some fleece material (about half a cm thick),
cover fabric,
a pencil,
scissors,
a stapler and some fitting staples.
To begin, remove the back panel of the picture frame.
The front cover (transparent and mask) won't be needed.
Now the back panel is placed onto the fleece
and with the pencil, the shapre of the panel is traced to cut the fleece to size.
Now we trim the fleece, and repeat this with the cover fabric,
though this time, we leave asome wiggle room
when we place the back cover to mark the cutting lines.
One centimeter should be enough, depending on the back cover strength.
We need this to let the fabric fold around the back cover.
Next, the fabric is cut along the marked lines.
Now that we have two pieces of fabric cut to the frame's size,
we start with the cover fabric and nudge it into the frame,
placing it in the center, evenly overlapping all sides.
To then keep the Fleece and the back cover in place, we use the holding clamps of the frame.
To reliably fixate back cover and fabric, we use the stapler.
This step is irreversible, so before you do that,
check the front to see wether the cover is in place and the way you want it.
Overlapping fabric edges can then be removed.
Now the frame is ready to accept your favorite flair.
It's best to only thread half the length of the needle through the fabric,
this way, you have some elbow room to close the pin.
