well into the program it's great to be recorded uh... unfunded thank you for joining us i'm curious your book has been widely covered and i think a lot of people are very familiar with the the up but the more obvious questions although some of them are probably worth revisiting but one thing that i haven't burger maybe i just me and is probably calling more for opinion on your part is if either uh... it it just to set this up you you you wrote this book you either you the president you interviewed always people around him if he you know you can change his tune a lot lately with regard to uh... becoming far more populist if he's re-elected a difference you know you talk about teaming team being in the in the book basically a will we see the h change any economic advisory teams and a fundamental change in an economic approach are eager to see and become more like f_d_r_ or he did it in your opinion is what we're seeing right now this populous rhetoric just the stuff that has to be done to get reelected you know it's pittsburgh that's a sixty four thousand dollar question um... you know it is just a rope political convenience nabbing more activist more populous early duty actually a uh... believe now dead dot he missed his big opportunities they talk about an early book our two thousand and i think they're few months he could have restructured wall street frankly democrats republicans both wanted him to do it but the tea party uh... you know wasn't was adaptable enough all you know the energy they created it was rising up and uh... you know can you get that back now on he may have also and historical moment that we should have another crisis by providing it again and the question now is is uh... is it's just uh... sound and fury signifying very little of other than i had a white get re-elected or have you changed my fans from our conversations or that uh... other than the e-vite yet i would stay the uh... feels a lot of regret about not being roosevelt what he had a shot if you get a shot again i think we will try to be and if he gets reelected i think that'll be uh... uh... something that uh... will be uh... radar first off the tarmac origins to the first being bushes invasions of afghanistan in iraq and the second arguably the myth uh... president obama going over the egypt in standing there on the platform beyond next to the dictator insane to the people you shouldn't have to put up a dictators and kill high credit that has been one of the sparks of the year of spring you point out in in way of the world it's been good please correct me if i'm wrong bush destabilize the middle east basically based on lies and how condi rice was trying to protect benazir bhutto who could have been real change agent in pakistan and protector from assassination and *** cheney shot that down you know u_s_ protection services no u_s_ whatever to help bizarre but oh and of course she got assassinated uh... is is that right and be do see a tie-in between those is that and what's happening now and if so what is it notification you know bruder buddy but i think i i do the last interview of a major draw sharp pointy with blue daughters ten days before she died from a clatter which is in trouble city in the western part of pakistan and and will you know would basically opens operatives as well i want to protect the pic maybe could turn in the wrong direction and and again that's part of this problem the clinton administration is absolutely domestically more but even in foreign affairs uh... in terms of a that uh... ideas and then a real execution in terms of our peru in terms of getting to where they need to date uh... and right now with a very volatile situation over there earlier i'd wonder did a great opportunity obviously and i am an opportunity of his hopefully what we'd expect our leaders to feasible others if this is the most concept in treating the guy who who came up with the nickname of at least that and i don't know fifty sixty years ago things that jacob that when in by country anon democratic country is overthrown or collapses or has a core whatever may be indiana and starts moving in a more democratic direction it goes from apply to stability like o_j_ outside okay at the bottom of it because in rapidly downward in terms of stability and benefits it hit some point where it goes in what you directions either goes into autocracy and becomes stable again or slides up the j and into democracy becomes stable again but in either case stability returns and worth watching that played out the middle east and to some extent that's being influenced by our policies in the middle east i'm curious your thoughts on how president obama and to the people in his administration are dealing with that in the minute we have left your aransas candiotti very a very quick comment affirmative homotopy washington uh... handler says obama creative space is limited to be the vice-president and create a space for solutions can happen by his presence by its openness by the whole bob lorenz that's what he does with the story premise someone is in the world the problem is is obama has not figured out a wake-up around that speech he's created other people jumping and all sorts of of complications and devils of america an obama still struggled with owning this space myspace that he has created both domestically and internationally and he needs to all netspace now when it comes to building beef democracies he needs to date intent of wet prevent unfolded he doesn't know if and i don't see much evidence of it on some of the foreign terrain uh... domestically obviously the book is about obama's defaulting on many of these issues of leadership in practicing golf with both the left is the right course it's for the first removes layers we're going to see that as a bugle get before the election that's what's really got off in terms of this country and held for the last you know i was delighted through an awful lot to pick up these disclosures revolving interviews he did and that he will be in these characters as though you've never paid six really if there was a
