Hi, my name is Dr. Steve Minors of Rehab Effects is Austin, Texas. Today we'll be discussing
Cold Laser Therapy. Cold Laser Therapy has been in existence for several decades. But
the technology has improved dramatically over the last five to maybe 10 years. Today we're
going to be using an urconia laser. And when it comes to pain and inflammation what the
cold laser does is it functions at the cellular level to help decrease pain and inflammation.
You can use up to four frequencies here that allow you to individualize the care for the
patient and specifically address what it is that you want to accomplish. And these frequencies
can be anywhere from one to one hundred thousand. When you're using the laser this is exactly what it feels like. It's relatively
pain free. You may feel a little bit of warmth or coolness in the area that the laser is
shining on.
