This little ball of curious workmanship and the spindle,
kept them
in the most fertile parts of that wilderness,
as long as
they had faith,
diligence,
and heeded.
For every one of us in this room
we're going to be asked to pass through some wildernesses.
There will be places where our journey has scarcity to it and danger...
There will be times when we feel somewhat lost and uncertain or not confident about
who we are, where we're going,
or even what our bearings are.
And for someone in this room
right now
as it relates to patience...
Will you please hang on?
Just hang on.
It takes courage to move forward in positive ways,
to put away those things that stand in the way of our success,
to march out of our wildernesses with courage,
rather than waiting to be rescued
or acted upon.
Do you have faith
that the spirit to talk to you?
That the scriptures can talk to you
in a very personal way.
Do you have faith that prophets give counsel to the world
and to the Church in general?
Do you have the faith
that your patriarchal blessing
is a piece of revelation
that continually
opens itself to you
wider
in the application of your life?
The Gospel is true.
Jesus is the Christ.
His spirit is here
if you seek it.
I pray that you may feel it.
I pray that you may feel it today in a special way.
That you will have courage
about you wilderness
and then you just hang on.
