This tutorial will show you how to complete your Four Year Course Plan.
Once you are logged in to Naviance you will click Document Library on the right side of the screen.
Next, click the link to Four Year Plan.
You may need to refer to the Course Catalog while completing your plan.
You may also need to refer to your diploma requirements.
The diploma requirements for the Class of 2015 and earlier are somewhat different than
the diploma requirements for the Class of 2016 and beyond.
Now let's look at the Four Year Course Plan. This is the document you will complete and
eventually upload to your Naviance account. When asked if you would like to open the document
as a read-only file, choose No. Once you open your file, make sure to save it.
Then you can start filling in the Four Year
Course Plan. You can move from field to field by hitting
the tab button. You can also use your cursor to select the
field that you would like to complete. Go ahead and fill out the top box of the plan.
Once the top of your plan is complete you can move on down to the courses you plan to
take throughout high school. It may be helpful to refer to the diploma
requirements sheet. You can see some courses are listed here as
a guide. Sometimes this guide may not apply to you.
For example, senior year students take a semester of government and a semester of econ.
If a student chooses to take AP Government, AP Government will have to take up two spots
on the course plan, because all Columbus North AP classes are a year long.
Therefore, I would need to put econ down later on the plan.
There is a spot at the bottom of your plan where you can put additional courses that
you plan to take outside of the regular school day.
For example, if you plan to do the PE Waiver in 9th grade and in 10th grade, this will
not take up a spot on your actual plan. So, you can put these courses down below.
Once your plan is complete make sure you save the plan again.
You will upload your plan to Naviance.
