At Curry College our professors are inspired by what they already do in
their classrooms and frequently are inspired to write
large works
or small articles, or give presentations. I've just produced my
seventh book,
which is called the "Six Archetypes of Love"
All of these books are
books which are concerned that my great love literature, and all of them have
arisen form
experience of us working with learners in various classrooms.
I was lucky enough in 2008 to be one of the top ten speakers in the world and
I came home with the
third place trophy for Public Speaking. So that means i'm
the third best speaker in the world, out of the entire world of about twenty five
thousand contestants when you break it all down.
so I kind of try to present
myself as a model
for
what strong Public Speaking is and what it can do for you
as health educator.
A faculty member at Curry, not only teaching,
and also
the focus on their own research.
See for me,
I have published a couple of books, a college algebra book
and the calculus books,
and all the books I worked with different professors form other
universities
focus on
how to help students learn and we
also put application problems into the book,
so students
they don't see Math as a dry, abstract subject.
They see the application and they say they say "How can I
use Math in a real world situation?"
