Hello and welcome to this tutorial including an accessibility feature in terms of captions
to account for learners with a hearing impairment.
To enhance the visual aspects of this content there is use of the video and graphic features embedded in Prezi,
mainly the Zoom User Interface(ZUI).
The interface allows for the smooth and non-linear progress through the different frames of the Prezi canvas.
There is also textual and graphic content in terms of instructions, photos, and videos.
The Prezi consists of a title " How to edit a video in Windows Live Movie Maker"
plus three frames, with each frame representing a specific stage in the process of editing and producing the video.
Click on the forward navigation arrow to move to the first frame "start your project"
Then the first sub frame with instructions on how to access WLMM from the Windows Start icon,
then where to find the WLMM in the list of programmes.
And how to start a new project once you have gained access to the programme.
The next sub-frame includes information about how to give a title and save your project
.That's the screen.
Give your project a title and click save.
That shows the field where you need to enter your title and then where to click save.
The third and last sub-frame in this initial stage is about how to add your video
Click on "Add videos and photos".
go to your file location and select it.
then press "Open".
Now, The next frame is all about how to edit the video adding various effects.
For the purposes of this tutorial only two effects are used.
Adding a black and white filter plus a pixelate animation or transition.
To add a visual effect you need to create a start and end point so the visual effect applies to your selected video clip onIy.
To do so follow the next six steps.
First select a start point
second go to edit in the menu bar,
and third click on split
Now you need to create an end point by repeating the same steps just mentioned
Select an end point, then click on edit followed by split.
In this instance I opted for the black and white filter to give the video a feel of the sixties.
This video clip is streamed twice,
first in colour then in black and white to highlight the embedded visual effect.
You can also add animations.
You need to create an insertion point by pausing the video,
selecting "Edit" from the menu bar,
and clicking on "Split".
Once the animation location is created
go to "Animations" in the menu bar and chose one.
For this project I am using the pixelate animation.
Here is a YouTube video demonstrating the feature.
The last frame in this Prezi is reserved for saving your movie.
To do so, click on the Movie Maker drop down arrow,
click "Save movie" from the list,
and select one of the available storage options.
To keep things easy and simple I am just saving the movie on the computer.
Chose the location for your file,
give it a title
and click "Save".
Enjoy watching your video
This one is about the famous London bus, known as Road Master.
This is the end of this tutorial.
Thank you for using it.
