Khaleesi is back.
After being mocked and ridiculed by the Dothraki, Daenerys with the help of Jorah and Daario Naharis, launched an epic escape from Vaes Dothrak.
She told them she was the mother of dragons, and then she decided to prove it. At the episode’s end, the last Targaryen sets the Dothraki council on fire and strolls away from the burning tent unharmed and unclothed much like the finale episode of Season 1.
Hopefully, this means she can continue her way west with an army of Dothraki believers to back her claim to the Iron Throne.
Tyrion is trying to keep Meereen under control during Daenerys' absence.

Over in Slaver’s Bay, Tyrion is fighting to retain Daenerys’ hold in Meereen, telling people she is traveling to put off confessing to them that he has no idea where she is. He negotiates with the masters, offering to slowly remove slavery over seven years time instead of abolishing it immediately. The slaves are less than thrilled with the deal, but Tyrion encourages them to accept it as a victory, as a chance at true peace.
The Starks, this week for the first time in ages, experience one very brief moment of joy.
Jon Snow and Sansa Stark enjoyed a mini family reunion and it seemed they were going to be able to add a long-deserved win in their column. But any happiness was crushed when the siblings learned the sadistic Ramsay Bolton had captured the youngest Stark, their brother Rickon.
Littlefinger makes his Season 6 debut.

And just in case they forgot or were unaware of how psychotic he was, Ramsay penned a horrifying letter, demanding the return of his bride, Sansa. And to further prove that point, Ramsay’s screen time this week was devoted to his killing of Rickon’s companion, Osha. After he stabs her in the neck, he cleans off his knife and uses it to cut his apple.
“A monster has taken our home,” Sansa told her half-brother. “We have to take Winterfell back or we’ll never be safe.”
Their exchange ends with Sansa promising to take Winterfell back from her deranged hubby with or without Jon’s help.
And the Starks weren’t the only ones to have a family reunion this week. Theon Grey made it home to the Iron Islands, where his sister Yara was less than thrilled to see him. She accused him only of returning after learning about their father’s death, of coming back just in time for the Kingsmoot — the process in which the Ironborn choose their leader.
Theon tells her he wants her to rule and he wants to help her.

Margaery Tyrell and her brother Loras are still prisoners of the High Sparrow, and neither of them are doing well. In what seemed like a moment of kindness, the High Sparrow allows the queen to see her brother. Margaery seemed to think it was a tactic, an effort to turn them against each other and she pushes her broken brother not to give up.
It seems help is coming for the siblings soon, though. Oleanna Tyrell, the lord of Highgarden, and grandmother of Loras and Margaery, demand her granddaughter be spared a walk of shame. Cersei, in what could be a brief moment of compassion, agrees the faith militant need to be dealt with.
The queen mother, who has a trial coming up, recognized her interests had aligned with the Tyrell’s, who are now set to send an army to rescue their family.

Jon and Sansa’s face off with the insane Lord Bolton is definitely something to look forward to, and Lord Petyr Baelish may offer his assistance with the Knights of the Vale.
This week marked Little Finger’s Season 6 debut and a teaser for next week’s episode shows Sansa questioning him, asking the man she once trusted whether or not he knew about Ramsay.
It also looks like next week we’re going to be learning a little bit about the White Walkers — the teaser also shows Bran experiencing some sort of vision where he is surrounded by armies and armies of White Walkers. Hopefully he can convince his brother Jon to rejoin the cause of keeping the walkers at bay.
