How to Hear The Voice of God Clearly

that's it amen let us just pray together ..."Father I want to thank you so much that we can be together and that I can be with these wonderful people, I thank you that you that just love us and that you are such a good god . i thank you Father that you will just Minister powerfully through me today and encourage your people in a great away thank you for that Lord, in Jesus mighty name; you are the Alpha and the Omega you are the one that brings salvation; you are the one that will bring it to an end and complete it for us and we can only rest in you and I think that revelation will just get stuck in our hearts with everything amen amen right thank you so much for having me at this church and just ministering the gospel of God's grace to you it's wonderful to serve you with the message of God's love for you, today I'm going to talk about how you hear the voice of God, and this is what i'm going to share with you is the way I hear the voice of the Lord and how it has been been with my life and how the Lord has guided me and basically got me to the place where I am in my life today and it is a very easy way to hear the voice of the Lord, it is a very clear way to hear the voice of the Lord, because without God's voice and god's guidance we cannot know where we are going. We need god we need him to tell us, " listen man, this is the way... this is what what I want to bring forth in your life, this is the way to go and when it comes to the voice of the Lord, there's been so many different things that we have heard, you know, one of the things that we have about the voice of God is that we don't know many times, is it God's voice or is it not God's voice, and one of the major things that I found wrong when it comes to hearing the voice of God is when we try to listen to the voice of God from the perspective of "God tell me what I must do and I will do it" ...you know that's the kind of thing we want with the voice of God; in this business "Lord, I don't know how to make a success of this business, tell me what to do and then i will do it" in other words, "you tell me, buy this, sell that, do this do that, and I will do it and obey you" that's what we want to do we want to hear what he tells us we must do and then we want to do that and so have success in life I mean that sounds really simple as it sounds uncomplicated everything but I want to tell you that is the very thing that destroys your life! because the end of the day if God tells you what you must do and you do it you made a success of your ministry and not God, you're still the one that does it, t's still by your own works that you bring it forth it's exactly what the people say to God when God was appearing on Mount Sinai like I said, "let God give us the Law, let Him give us the commandments, and we will do it! so it is, " i want to hear the voice of God God will give good advice and then i'll make a success out of my life by following the good advice", you are still the god of your own life then it's still not God doing the thing in you it's still not God living in you God doesn't desire to have what we call, what i would call "an outside" relationship with you, you know, who of you would like, you know, i mean if i look at my boys you know, in our house, we've just got a normal house, like everybody so sometimes, you know, I would tell my son, i would say, "how many times...(laughter) you know, must I tell you", and then you come to the point when you say, "can you not think for yourself" (aha! laughter) so what you want is, you don't want, I mean, who wants a relationship with his child when he gets up in the morning and says daddy what do you want me to do and then you tell him and then he does everything that way and then next morning he gets up... "Daddy, what do you want me to do I mean nobody can live like that, but that's how we want to live with God (that's right!), you know, as frustrating as what it would be for your son to come every day and ask you, "what must i do today?" I mean if it will be frustrating to a father, and i think is the very same thing with God I don't want my son to come every morning and ask me what he must do what I would want is, I would love for him to have my heart, that he would by intuition just know what to do that would be much better! and then when he comes to me it's not about what he must do but when he comes to me it's a relationship, it's a "talking about", it's sharing, it's something much better than coming to the father every day asking him what I must do the highest form of communication is not found in writing a command or an audible voice or even an appearing you know, i want to, so many times we think, "Jesus if you can just appear right here and tell me what I must do or if i can hear the audible voice of God, Hallelujah! you know, I you know, I've seen so many times, you know, we would boast and say "You know, I heard the audible voice of God!, and He spoke to me in the audible voice" and t's almost as if I don't say God cannot speak in an audible voice, but I mean that God had start speaking in an audible voice, you know, I'm asking what's wrong? you know, because there's much better ways of speaking, there's much better ways of communicating than an audible voice, and let me explain that to you, if I, if my son is in the University and I want to communicate a truth to him that can save his life, that can be, that can be of, that would be of the greatest importance to him I mean, how can I communicate that to him? there's different ways i can write him a text or an email okay? that would be equivalent to the written word, the Bible, t's text. i wrote it down send it to him, man, i can have an audible voice giving him advice that would be a phone call isn't that audible voice? I mean, he hears my voice audibly, or he can have a letter, in the letter he can read, he might misunderstand, you know, what I wrote how many times do we find misunderstanding in writing, and how do I mean, how many times do we find misunderstanding in a phone call or I can have an appearance i mean i can actually drive to the University where he lives and I can appear there and I can give him an audible voice plus I can give him a letter wherein I'm trying to say what I said, that would be equivalent to Moses on the mountain in the giving of the Law audible voice everybody hears the voice of God it's the mountain, it's shaking, and there is written, that's it! I mean, I can do all of that, and i will still not be sure that he understands what I'm saying imagine i had the ability I mean that would be a powerful way of communication but I don't think that's the ultimate with communication the ultimate way of hearing the voice imagine i had the ability to enter into his heart and put my very person my thought and my wall inside him, that that is what he thinks and that's what he wants and that is what is logical to him I mean wouldn't that be a very, very powerful way of communicating? then he doesn't have to phone me every day to hear what he must do every day he just looked at what he wants to do and he does it, I mean how does Jesus hear the voice of the Father? I mean, we're going to look at that today, how Jesus hears the voice of the Father? but to me, I would think the nicest way to communicate the nicest way i would love God to communicate with me is, when I can see his will born into my will, isn't it what the Bible says, God will work on us to will and to do? so in other words they will come a place and this is what God desire is, God what is your will?, "well I will work in you to will!" so the moment you say, "God is what is your will?" is almost as if you are looking too far he says "I will work in you to will and to do!"; now there's some things that i'm going to show you because you might say, "but what if i want to kill somebody?" you know or "what if i want my neighbor's wife?" Man!, if I tell you you can do whatever you want, why are you thinking of the neighbor's wife? you know, my gosh!,, I've had these people say to me, "Bertie, you just preached a license to sin" "does that mean I can just go and take my neighbor's wife?" No! I tell them, listen! listen guy, you know, we've been talking about God giving his son we've been talking about God putting the desires of the kingdom inside you we've been talking about God setting you free, and you are thinking of your neighbor's wife! how did you get there? it doesn't make sense, we're talking about a God that loves you unconditionally, that cares for you that gave His life, that has come to set you free from all rules and regulations, and He wants to put His Spirit inside you, and He wants to live in you and you're thinking of stealing!... and the neighbor's wife! brother, the fault is not with the message, the fault is with you, (that's right!) (that's it!), that's just the way it is so, when we come to the place where we say, man, God wants to work in you, so that you don't have to try and hear the voice from an outside commandment but that he's being is born in you and that you hear the voice of God from the very core of your will and your emotions and your thoughts I mean how, how can I think of, "what if I want to steal something?" I mean, it doesn't make sense, but we will deal with that because there is a thing that where people's will is twisted and crooked and everything, we got to look at why it's like that, and what brings you to the place where you can actually hear the will of God inside you you know my youngest son, and I've got three boys, now the youngest one is just like me!, man, sometimes I feel sorry for him, (laughter) because I know what kinds of trouble you know, the other day he came home, I was in America and he's the kind of guy he cannot hide anything if he's happy you see it, if he sad, you see it whatever he feels, shows on his face he cannot hide anything it's impossible for him to be a hypocrite, he cannot be one whatever you see, that's what you get, so one day he comes home I was in the US, Eleana phones me and says, "Listen, you need to speak to this boy of yours" (laughter) ...so you know what that means I said, what's wrong? she says, "you know, he comes from school and when he walks in the house he doesn't even greet me properly, he doesn't talk nice! he's just like typical teenage, will you talk to him?" so I say, hand me the phone, I said, "Bertus", his name is Bertus, I said Bertus, what's going on why you're not talking nice too mom? he says, "Dad, i know i need to talk nice to her, but I'm just too tired!" (laughter) I've never heard that all my life! the only thing is when he said that, I knew exactly what he talked about I know! he's just he is just too tired! he just feels too tired to be nice now is like yeah! I'm going to my room and then I want... and then i'm going to go to the fridge and now i want to eat you know it's like... you know he didn't have to explain to me I knew exactly! why? because who I am lives in him ....you know, when they get these drags drag cars you know on TV I don't have to give in five lessons on how to like that (hahaha... nope!) it is in him you know I like these programs where they in Canada mind the gold in the mountains but i don't know why i like that I just like it and i remember when i was driving through the US, sometimes in the hotel i put the TV on and see that program and I think, man! that's nice I'd like it, it's like there's something exciting about it and then we never had the the satellite TV with all the channels and whatever and about three months ago I said well! let's put it on, and i put it on and so my son watch TV and he said to me, "Dad you know what you must come check this program where they mind the gold in Canada" (laughter) that's, that is really nice you know it is just amazing what they do with those big machines and in the mountains and you never know when they hit the jackpot, man"... and then me and him we would sit there and I can enjoy their program with him I don't have to tell you know like when my wife sits there I must tell her you know when the show the turbocharger that supercharger on an engine I must tell her, that's nice I must teach her that, and and she I mean she can like me and she loves me and everything and she can tell me listen Bertie, just tell me when something is nice that I can know it's nice there's a big difference between somebody in whom my will is born and somebody that loves me but wants to find ask me all the time what must I do, there is a big difference there's a big difference! when I look at my youngest son I mean he likes welding and building and those kind of things so he bought his own drift trike, I don't know if you know what a drift trike is it he's got like...it's a three wheel thing and it's got these wheels of plastic like on the back thick plastic and then it's got a petrol engine on the back and then you go down the street with that thing and then it slides easily so you can drift around the corners with that thing so I went to the US last year when I came back he built his own drift trike and the guy is 12 or 13 years old, and he built his own drift trike by himself! and he built the whole thing and he said, "Dad, I've got this centrifugal clutch, it needs to be fixed now you know when he works with a dangerous machine I don't feel in my heart at all even to warning about stuff because there's a logic inside him that knows if this thing turns here and it breaks, it will... that thing's gonna fly there and it can hit something there and then hit me so it's got that safety thing already born inside him my will on how he must do things is born inside him and he can go anywhere and do my will, because it's inside him and what happened with man in the fall of Adam and Eve is they came to a place where they received a different will, but God has come to restore that in Jesus Christ that's why he's come and he says we have the mind of Christ! that's what it's going to give us it's going to give us a place where in we can hear the voice of God from our innermost being, and you know what? if I say that I can even think that some of you guys might think, "this is dangerous man", this is dangerous, because you know, you cannot trust me, I can't trust myself! you know maybe we must come to the place where we hear enough about the goodness of God that we can trust God with us, or we can trust that God will work something in me, where we find that it's not an outside commandment but an inner desire that comes from God now, let me explain to you and how the this change can take place you know I come, like you've heard now, I come from a background where I like cars and bikes and mining and big machines and those, I don't know why, I just like those things and my wife comes from a background where she likes antique stuff you know, make the house beautiful like to listen to classical music and and some opera stuff and I mean she just knows when the music's nice she's gotta tell me, "listen", you know "that that's nice!" then I say, yes love that is nice! yeah, you know, that the kind of a kind of a thing! but what happened in our life is I'm married for 21 years now, I've known Eliana for 23, 23 and a half years in this 23 years that I've known her , who she is has influenced my belief, my belief changed about certain things and now when i go and i stand in front of ...you know, if i go to to John Charlotte's house and I see the the coke stuff there and I see some of the old furniture there and those kind of things and I stand in front of it I don't have to have my wife's tell me what's nice because when I stand in front of it, because of who she is and the integrity of a character, she has influenced my belief to the point that i believe what she believes so now when I look at something that is nice nobody has to teach me that that's nice who she is has been born in me and I can stand there and I can already hear her saying this is nice and even if my wife would pass away forever ingrained into me because we have the same belief would I wherever I go feel what she would feel when she looks at a beautiful cover or a beautiful antique thing it would be what Paul says it is not I who live but it is actually Christ that is living inside of me so what happens is Christ comes and he can actually come and indwell you and live in you think in you, will in you and those kind of things and the happiness that she has when she listens to beautiful music I can now actually share in that joy as my wife continues to believe in me there will be a time when she will actually know what it feels like to see a car with a supercharger on it and when you look at that thing you feel you want to cry yeah you know so it is like she, there would come a ... as I enter her heart, there will come a day when she can look at that and say man this not this is beautiful because i'm just here with my husband you know and i love him and because he loves it, i love it no no, there is something deeper than that, is when she even is alone when she looks at it she will find life there's my life in her, I've seen it, I've seen a place where that took place you know, Eliana and I let me start this way, Eleana and I , when we just got married she said to me, I said to her, listen man should i go and get us a movie? she said yes! I said ok I'm going down to the video shop I'm going to get us a nice movie so I got something that I thought would be very nice ... and you know what I got? I've got Dumb and Dumber you know Dumb and Dumber, that movie? I mean that's real good movie and I enjoyed Dumb and Dumber you know, but i put it in, and after five minutes, not even five she said you know what? a person likes this is low class man - you know and that day i was still very stubborn so I said man you can go sit in the kitchen I'm gonna watch the good movie and I watched the movie and she was like, and for like five or ten years she was always telling me, you know I can still not believe that you like that Dumb and Dumber! that is not humor, that's what i call "toilet humor" man, you don't like that kind of stuff she was like kind of ashamed and last year no it was when was it and I just felt well you know maybe she was a bit embarrassed by the movie and whatever so i thought let me put me behind it and we just continue you know and then I was packing my stuff to go to Europe and not look that was last year and as I packed my stuff, you know you know how a guy is you want to pack your stuff but at least she must help a bit, (yes! laughter) you know you can't just pack everything yourself! I mean you tired and and you're going to leave home and you know I just feel I need a little bit of cuddling, pampering yes it's like you know have you seen that one thing they said that they've got this picture of a lady in the hospital and she's about to give birth and and they said a woman in labor can almost feel how much pain a man has that's got a fever you know, so, it's you so I was there I just need a little and she's not there you know so what is this that I would walk over and she was sitting with the boys there and she's watching TV and stuff and I thought what's this she's going to watching TV and I'm and I said to her , you know lovy i'm packing my stuff.. and then I go again and I started packing and I'm packing and whatever I hear she's ... she's just busy with movies there and or TV or what else and she sometimes like this shows where they renovate the houses and all that so I go in there and i ... hey I'm packing, and i go back to the room and I hear she's laughing and enjoying and I thought man, let me go and see what she is doing, and i went in there and she was laughing watching Dumb and Dumber so, I said, I just want to say something, if you like that movie you low-class! so I had a just bring it in so I said to her now you feel how it feels like to be me because over time what I believe and who I am we would say , it rubbed off! you know,what was actually what was taking place is you become what you behold and as she was be holding me and my love for her and whatever who I am was born in her and she had the privilege of knowing what it feels like to enjoy that movie and I and as she was born me i had the privilege to know what it feels like to listen to an orchestra and feel the depth of my be this is so beautiful I never thought that you can go to listen to opera or something like that and want to cry because it's beautiful I never thought it was possible but as I was be holding her and in that love relationship that we have I found who she is born in me and as that is born in me and that and and and the other way around with her she doesn't have to go and think, "what is the will of my husband? or what must i do today?" Who I am is born in her in the very same way it happens between us and God and it was planned from the beginning that we would hear his voice in that way and this is how it takes place, we can go to read this from Psalm 37 and I'm going to show you this from Psalm 37 m and then we're going to go to proverbs and then end with Psalm 40, Psalm 40 says "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart" delight yourself in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart that word "Delight" there, in the Hebrew means be pampered ...be pampered... Be pampered by God! now listen, a lot of our theology doesn't even allow that so it says be pampered by God and he shall give you the desires of your heart now what I used to think was you know I saw this nice car and if I want that car all i need to do is get the delight meter in heaven to hit green so I'm going to delight in the Lord for this week you know and i'm going to go to church and I'm going to pray, and I'm going to give my tithe, and i'm going to do those kind of things and i'm going to delight in the Lord for I've got a desire to have that car and now he's going to give me that car Delighting in the Lord and, so it's like, I go to BMW and the BMW gives me the desire,,, and then I go and i'm going to delight in God on a sunday in the worship service so God can give me the desire that BMW gave me and fullfill it for me, that's what I thought but that's not how it works the way it works is it says Delight yourself in the Lord, in other words, allow yourself to be pampered by God this happened with Peter men , you know, Peter came and Jesus was washing people's feet you know and he came to Peter and he wanted to wash Peter's feet and Peter said, you're not pampering me! you washing my feet ? sorry you will not wash my feet you're not ... I'm not allowing myself to be pampered by you like that then Jesus said, if I cannot wash your feet you cannot take part in Who I am that's just the way it is, the only way by which you can have access to who God is is through the channel of God serving you Jesus didn't Jesus said early in the scripture, "i did not come to be served but to serve" so if we want him to be Lord and fulfill the will of God that God has for Jesus you must allow him to serve you otherwise Jesus cannot fulfill the will of the Father for you, the channel through which we will have holiness is by god serving us with holiness the channels through which we will have peace and joy and all those kind of things is by God washing us and cleansing us by his doing in by his kindness and none else there's no other way there is simply no other way God's going to serve you into eternal life or you're never gonna have it, that's the way, so it says here delight yourself in the Lord and the word delight means to be pampered! be pampered in the Lord let the Lord pamper you with certain things you know what pampers me is when the Lord comes and He says you know Bertie, I have not created you to work for me I created you to be my friend when it comes and says you know what this kingdom that I have my plan was never just to have it for myself but to share it with you, things that pamper me are things like, you know you are my temple you are my dwelling place, my gosh! I mean God's got all of heaven to live in, and he's willing to come and live in me I mean, that pampers me! when it comes to to John 3:16 he says you know Bertie while you were in your sin I looked at you and you you were oh so pleasing to me that I thought, let me lay down my life to preserve your life so you will never die because i don't want to be without you, my gosh! thats pampering man, that's been pampered now then God comes and says, you know, I cannot tolerate the bondage that you are under and I can see you are in slavery to sin you are in slavery to all these things but i have come to destroy that so that you can be free, for you are mine God would come and say, you know what? I'm not ashamed of you I'm willing to become human flesh for I am comfortable inside a human, those things pamper me those things pamper me the Bible says be pampered by the Lord and then he shall give or he shall bring forth desires in your heart you know one of the dangerous things that can happen to a guy's wallet is if his wife goes and that she has the nails done you know because when she sits there and they do those nails and she relaxes she starts to think of what you need to do at home and this needs to be painted and that needs to be done and that needs to be done it's .. the moment you relax, it's as in that relaxation desires come forth that's just how we are so God says if you would allow me to pamper you with my goodness then i will bring forth desires in your heart and the desires God would bring forth in your heart would be in line with what is the best for you and it will not be an outside commandment but an inner desire like if I'm pampered by the Lord I don't have a desire to go and do the ballet on a stage it doesn't fit me, you know, those ballet clothes just seem to uncomfortable they're very uncomfortable man i don't want to do that but i will have something when i'm pampered by the Lord where the Lord says, not where the Lord says, where I have a desire man, let's start a church on the internet and do something that hasn't been done or take your car and go drive into the deepest Africa bushing and go and preach to those folks that don't even have money or have touched money in their life because I've always been a person that's got this this kind of a little bit of a daredevil so when God brings forth desires as he pampers me it's all in line with my person and his person and he bring emerges these things and brings his life forth in me so all of a sudden I don't have to stand there you know well God you know I actually want to go fishing but what is your will for me today and the will of God will always be something that's not nice that which you don't want to do is what God wants you to will hmm God always tells you to do the most difficult thing, that which you don't want to do that's the will of God No!, that is not how it's supposed to work God wants to come and work desires in you so now I thought it this way you know I've realized, when I'm pampered by God I get these desires and that must be the will of God and then I thought man let me go and do the will of God I have other desire, let's start an internet church well we started an Internet church you know God gave me the desire and I know that is his will for me so I'm going to do it and I tried it and it doesn't work because the scripture doesn't say when I bring forth a desire in you that's what you must do when God brings forth a desire in you is actually asking you is okay if I bring that forth in your life so when I had the desire to start an internet search it was not God saying to me, go and start an internet search God was pampering me and he continues to pamper me and says, listen man, are you willing that i can bring this fourth in your life effortlessly and you can say yes or no let's read it in the scripture it says Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you these desires in your heart ok the heart talks about a belief the moment you are pampered by God your belief changes into who he is and who you are you know you really that gets shaped by by God's love and goodness for you and as that happens he brings desires fourth in according to this new belief and then it says commit your way unto the Lord trust him and he shall bring it to pass so in other words here you are being pampered by the goodness of God and the love of God he works a desire in your heart and that desire works in your heart to bring forth internet church, for instance in my case what He is saying to me actually is, you know, is it okay if I bring that forth in your life by the desire then I can go and make my way known unto the Lord in other words God comes and He works this thing so much in my heart that I actually think it's my plan I actually think you know I was sitting thinking of the goodness of God and then I had this bright idea starting an internet church, now you think it's you that thought it because the Bible says here that when you pampered by God he will bring forth desires in your heart then he says make your way known unto the Lord meaning that this thing is so much in your heart that it feels as if it is you thinking of this he says make it known unto the Lord say Lord I want to say this desire I have in my heart to start an internet I want just tell you about that you know and and you can bring it forth, and what's the next thing you must do if you want to do something, verse seven it says, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him and fret not he will bring it forth! ... so this is how I hear the voice of God, I come and I hear how much he loves me, how much he cares for me until His love floods my mind and floods my heart, His goodness floods me and in the presence of that goodness He brings forth desires inside me he speaks to me the language of design he speaks to me the language of the will and mind I start to think his thoughts, I start to feel his feelings and He gives birth to it because the deepest form of communication is not an outside commandment but an inner life and that's how he wants to talk... let's go and look at another verse proverbs 16 verse 3 i'm going to read it from the Amplified Bible, it says roll your works unto the Lord and trust Him completely and He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will and so shall your plans be established so read it again, roll your works or your way unto the Lord in other words, here the Lord comes and He says... He pampers you, and after He pampers you or while that He pampers you, you feel a desire to start an internet church, or whatever you feel go to that University study this subject whatever comes forth, and then He says, then make your way known unto the Lord and this is where we pick it up in Prov. 16 it says roll your works unto the lord or make your way unto the Lord and simply trust him and as you trust him he will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to his will, what that means is, you have a desire, i have a desire to start an internet church, now what I now do is, I say, "God you've pampered me into having this desire and it's okay if you bring this forth" the moment you do that what is now gonna do is, He's going to bring forth thoughts in your mind on what to do every day in how to see this thing is established in your life and you might think it's just your plan that you' ve made...meantime it's God telling you by putting thoughts in your mind on how to go about this thing and those thoughts might have nothing to do with that, if that thought might be, listen man, go and preach in that place, or go and do that, or do ...you just ..you've just got to start, man! I've just got to start, go and buy this thing at Walmart you come there and you meet somebody there and that guy is the right person to help you with something so when God has pampered you, and brought forth a desire in you, and you've come and you've said to God, "this desire is what you can manifest in me" , that is the will of God, but how to perform that will, you will not know how to get that to manifest, and the plan is also not for you to try and know what's the will of God so that you can do it, it is to leave it to God! man, he pampered you into it he brought the thought for in in you or the desire then since you are an individual and you're not a robot he wants to know if it's okay, "Can I bring it forth in your life?" "yes Lord this thing I want that I feel it yes! you can bring it forth" ,then the moment you've given Him that permission when you when you when you said, "that desire you can bring it forth by your power and your will, is not me trying to obey something and establish it by my power of obedience It is you bring it forth!", and you say, "yes Lord" and what does He do? He starts to put thoughts in your mind so the way God guides you through life and the way you hear the voice of God is very simple allow Him to love you allow Him to pamper you with Christ, allow Him to say to, to say to you, "You know what? I was willing to give my Son to have You! allow Him to say, "you are innocent! you are forgiven! you are my kind! you are my dwelling place you are my home! I will never indwell rubbish, and I am indwelling You!, that means you are not rubbish, allow Him to say to you that you are absolutely the "god-kind", and that there is no other being that with whom He can fellowship the way He fellowships with you; allow Him to say, " i love you, where the word Love means, "I lose my breath over you", because that's what the Hebrew word for Love means! the word Love means, "to be fully content with seeing no need to add anything" allow Him to say, "I love you" with a ..with.. with Webster's definition of the word Love, man the word love means "when I see you, you excite pleasing thoughts in... you bring pleasing thoughts ,,, you excite wonderful thoughts in my mind and emotions of gratification" that's what it means To Love, God says "I love you!" it means, one of the meanings for the word Love, according to the dictionary is to and to be stimulated emotionally and intellectually, allow God to say those things to you and don't try to let him love you for five minutes and now you want to know what's the will of God relax! you're going to live forever! so take this time even if it's one year of your life just take it and let God pamper you, man and as He pampers you, He will bring forth desires, and from those desires he comes with, He is such a humble God that He says, "Is it okay if I can bring forth?", and then you can say yes or no the moment you say yes, you will find Him starting giving you thoughts that can manifest that let us end off with Psalm 40 sigh this is Jesus! this is a prophecy of Jesus, Jesus says "Many, oh Lord, my God are your wonderful works which you have done and your thoughts, which are towards us listen to Jesus, Jesus gets born from Mary He starts to grow up, He lives in this world Jesus gets brought up into Judaism, Judaism is, Judaism of that time was a very racist belief, they believed they were the only people of God and all other nations were cursed! they were so racist that if you would... you would not even talk to another nation and if you would touch anything that they had touched you go wash yourself Jesus grew up in that, and as he was growing up I'm sure Mary some time had to tell Jesus, "you know what? I've got some news to break... no Joseph is not your daddy", I think it was a shock for Him in the beginning, he was a normal child then he might have asked, "so who is my father? and she had to tell him about the angel and the Holy Spirit, and how she supernaturally as a *** got pregnant, and that He is the Son of God and then with that in mind I'm sure he went and read the scriptures, and we know that was before the age of 12 because the age of 12 he says, "I need to be busy with my Father's things" so Jesus came to a point where he said, "well, Joseph is not my father, God is my Father, so let me go and be busy with the things of my father, so I'm going to go to the temple now" and here Jesus, Jesus would be reading the things in the in ...in in the Bible now when you read the Old Testament from the perspective of "God is your master" you're going to see it differently than if you read it from "God is your father" you know, if my father is upset I can overlook it, you know, it's kind of, it's not that big thing, but when my father did something right, it's, it emphasized, it's emphasized in me, because you want to see the good in your dad, isn't it? so here Jesus reads his Old Testament or, oh the mic just fell! sorry man, I thought it was the stage giving in under my great weight! so so here Jesus comes and he reads the Bible, he reads the Old Testament and he sees aaall the good that the Father has done the good is amplified in it, "let me see who is my Father?" and he says, "well you know He He tells Adam and Eve, " I cannot give you the tree of life because if you eat of the tree of life and you are now afraid of me you're going to be forever afraid of me so I would rather put you out of the garden that you will not be in eternal torture and torment, live eternally afraid of me, and I will fix this thing up you know, he start to see things like that, he starts to see how God is good to Israel, He starts to see how God forgives Israel He starts to see a lot of good things and when he starts to see all these good things this is now written, he says, "Many, Oh Lord, my God, are your wonderful works which you have done and your thoughts which are to us wards, towards humans, they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee; if I would declare and speak of them they are more that can be numbered now listen to Jesus, he says, "oh God! I see so much of your goodness, i see so much of... you're just a good God and as the mind of Jesus was flooded with how good God is, he found the next verse, he says, "sacrifice and offering you did not desire, my ears have you opened; burnt offering and sin offering have you not required then I said low in the volume of the book is written of me! so what is Jesus saying? the more he sees how good God is, the more he could see that God had no issue with killing animals, and he starts to see more of the goodness of god and he says your goodness by knowing how good you are by seeing the abundance of your goodness I've come to the revelation... to an even deeper revelation of the scriptures I start to - he says here you open my eyes and you open my ears when I see how good you are and that's exactly what we talked about, as we are pampered by God that pampering of the love of God when we can come to the place where G where Jesus came to where we can say, man I know of so many good things that God has done that it cannot be numbered up unto him if I must start and speak of them there's not enough time to end it they cannot be numbered it cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee if I would declare and speak of them there are more than can be numbered and from that platform he says oh my gosh you've opened my eyes, I can see that it's got nothing to do with animal sacrifice but it's come...it's is everything it's got to do with me saving people! can you see how the will of God is born inside Jesus as he is pampered by knowing the goodness of God, to the point that He says, "I know of so many good things that I, it cannot be numbered!" so i want to tell you, if you want to hear the voice of God clearly, if you want to see life break forth from scriptures and from darkness in your life where you don't know which way to go go and sit and study out how good god is and let him to have that dir...that goodness directed towards you! and your ears will be open to hear what God is saying, there's no other way! he's gonna goodness you into hearing him there is no other way, I promise you there's no other way! if you ask me, Bertie, what's the will of God? you're gonna I don't want to shock people but... if you want to ask me, Bertie, what's the will of God for you, what is God's voice to you, I'd say, "What I think and what I want to do because it's come to live in me now go and be pampered by the news and going to be pampered by stuff that lies to you about your value where you don't feel loved and all those kind of things and that will bring forth desires in you and that will tell you and then you will make your own willpower available on how to bring it forth, and you will have thoughts born which will tell you what you must do in your own willpower, the thing works both ways so in conclusion be very careful to be under any doctrine or any place where the goodness of God is not continually magnified all the time you must come to the point where you say, oh my goodness I don't know you know I cannot even number all the good things that God is done "there were Bertie, the scriptures in the Old Testament that say this or that" skip them! if we need to be pampered by the goodness of God, skip these verses about Hell and fire and torture man, my goodness, we've heard that too much! Can't we come to Scriptures like, God is a savior love - kind, friend of sinners don't condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery, that He is love and can never be anything else! that God's eyes look at us, and he wants to set us free from what kills us that God became a human, and took a human being and put him in the Trinity forever, so that he can forever behold man in perfection, and that that Jesus is actually your high priest talking about you! my goodness why can't we come to place where we behold that day and night "You know, Bertie, that verse says..." i don't care! Every verse in the Bible must first come past Jesus to get in my heart finished! I don't care if it's ... I don't care! and I don't want to say arrogantly but I want to tell you truly, not in an ugly way,but I don't care you can have a theologian with many doctors degrees with everything with everything with Scripture upon scripture line upon line whatever he must take that and put it right next to Jesus that loves on a woman that didn't even confess her sin! and if that all that studies contradicts what I see here, i rather go in with what God shows in Jesus... end of it! and I'd rather say,I don't understand these verses now but I know these verses correctly understood will never contradict this he was the Word of God hanging upon across, they were nailing him what is God's Word, what is God's word on a Roman soldier that nails him into a cross? it is, "Father forgive this guy, for he is not knowing what he's doing" that's God's Word on "nailing Jesus to the cross" isn't Jesus God's Word? Yeah! God's Word on nailing into a cross is, "I forgive you!" what's God's Word on a man that's got, that's very simple that's got all the sin! what's God's Word on a man that's got all the sin, and that is dying? God's Word to a man that's got all the sin dying is, I promise you I can raise you from the dead isn't that what happened Jesus? there was a guy having all the sin of all the world, having dead, cursed, and God's word to jesus is, "I, all you do is just trust me, i'll raise you from the death, for my promise is greater than your sin" Hallelujah! be pampered by things like that man! let God pamper you! pamper you, unto a a place where he's message his word is born into your heart and into your thoughts where you will not say where is the Will of God? but you will come to a place where you say, "there's not a thought that I think that is not the will of God!" you might say, 'Bettie, that's too easy!" well I tell you, the Work of Jesus is not small it's Big, He's come to save you, He's come to make you his temple, He's come to put you in His image and his likeness, listen man, if you are struggling with just that he could bring your thoughts in line by loving you what are you going to say one day when you see graves open up and folks have been dead for 2,000 5,000 years stand up there in the fullness of the glory of God! I tell you, that's where we're heading man! and God proved... God's Word to you is, listen, look at Jesus and you know what I'm saying there's a guy with a.... that became all sin! I mean that's not a beautiful picture, the man that became all sin and he died with a promise, but believing a promise in his heart, "my Father can raise me", and this is my word, I promised him, and when you raised him, you raised him without sin, without death glory to God! I want to tell you, church, as we find because we could say what strategy must I have to win souls and all this kind of things, I've had that, "Oh, Lord, what must I do to win more souls?", "Oh Lord,... He says, let me just love you, man! let the soul winning thing be my problem my number one vision for you is not to win souls, my number one vision for you is to love on you, to make sure your heart has been cleansed from all death and sin and those things on account of me washing your heart by speaking, speaking words of affirmation towards you glory to God! and as that happens, I find this desire, Lord you know, I just give this desire to you, you've given me the desire, I give it to you, You'll bring it forth, and I'm just pampered by the goodness of God, and i find the thought that God brings forth, and those thoughts are now made agreeable to the will of God, and all of a sudden I find him working this whole thing out in my life effortless effortless (thank you Jesus) for it's born inside, so church, I don't say God cannot speak from the outside, I don't say an audible voice cannot happen I don't say an appearance can't take place all I'm saying is, that is not the highest form of communication and God has set us up for the highest form, "so Bertie, must I just go and do whatever I want?" listen again go and be pampered by the love of God, that's what you must go and do if you want to do something and let's see what happens it's like, we would say in South Africa, "put that in your pipe and smoke it!" we say that, "put that in your pipe and smoke it, and see what happens, God loves you man, He's dreamt you from before time I remember my sons, all three of them, from the oldest to the youngest, I've dreamt them before they were born I played cars with them in the dirt before they were born, man, I was chatting with them before they were born you know I was sitting with them in a car, driving you know, listening to some good old country music I'm not talking about these ones, I'm talking about the seventies' man, talking about Don Williams, Kenny Rogers, sitting with those guys with the windows down no air conditioning, we went in those cars with steering wheel that you can't keep straight, you need to... two taps right, one tap left, that's how you go down the road, I'm thinking of that with my boys I've dreamt that! I've done that with them before they were even born! man, how much more God has He not dreamt you! spend time with you in his thoughts, "And when this girl is born, this is what I want for her! I see laughing with her, having fun, joy, working life in her, glory to God!
