First of all, pores are determined by your genetics. Some people are just born with larger
pores. How you can minimize the appearance of it is amazing! Using agents like glycolic
acid, salicylic acid, clay that helps exfoliate and remove some of that. Also reducing damage
from the environment which causes free radical damage which turns it black - things like
vitamin C and antioxidants are really great ways to minimize it. One of the interesting
ways that we can minimize the appearance of pores is reducing lines and wrinkles, making
your skin really healthy. Why is that? When we think about pores if it's in an even way,
you don't see the pores as much, but if your skin is uneven, it looks like a valley and
the pores are more obvious. So having good, healthy skin that's fully hydrated, using
ceramides and agents that encourage hydration to your skin, things like glycolic acid, agents
that make your skin look healthier and brighter like alpha-hydroxy acids, retinols and retinoids
will make a huge difference in improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as
well as minimizing pore size.
