I wanted to write a song that would make my kids cry when I had died - I have strange thoughts on parenting, you could say it is more for my benefit than theirs, but I certainly liked the idea of a song about eternity and how we might still be connected beyond a physical reality. When you are a songwriter and father of two this sort of thing is bound to happen. It is a song I am still learning how to play and is yet to be fully realized I think, it changes every time I practice and play it live and is proving to be a real challenge, one I often do not feel I am up to.
