We're down in the Old Fruitmarket today for Admiral Fallow: We Are Ten, it's a specially
commissioned event by Glasgow Film Festival, with the Glasgow based band Admiral Fallow,
celebrating our shared anniversary. We approached Admiral Fallow with the idea
of celebrating our shared tenth anniversary, they came to Glasgow ten years ago and slowly
became the band they are today and ten years ago the Glasgow Film Festival formed, so it
seemed like a great way to celebrate that anniversary with this special night of music
and film.
Well this is the first time we've ever done anything like this or had any kind of cinematic
aspect, we've taken that kind of anniversary theme and we put out a call for film makers
to send in short films that are a couple of minutes each.
We've been collaborating with a film maker based in London called Tom Harrison, who has
basically made this whole evening possible.
The great thing about these unique one off events that Glasgow Film Festival is becoming
so well known for, is that it creates that "I was there" moment, it's a really exciting
opportunity for festival goers to experience a unique cinema music event, that I'm sure
they'll be talking about for years to come.
