the mystery surrounding the whereabouts of the Lost Malaysian Airlines jet
continues we've got new data and with that of course new theories about what
might have happened to the plane
the newest data is based on not currently anonymous sources provided
information saying that I within about an our up the plane going missing and
did not appear in radar anymore
ended up paying in some fashion I Malaysian military radar
to the west %uh Malaysia but as for actually as the radar extends
and so based on that information I investigators now believe that it's
likely that the plane did fly as we said I believe yesterday
for I at least four hours after was initially lost
and they believe that going by the direction that it was traveling it could
be headed into the Andaman Sea
and towards the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean as a now the search has
that moved in that direction and
the both the the navy's and the air force's up to a dozen different
countries are currently searching
an increasingly large amount area I near the Indian Ocean
and right now a senior Malaysian police official says
either based on the information and the likelihood that it did in fact why
purposefully towards the west
what we can say is we're looking at sabotage hijack still on the cards
UK so I have makes fears about this I ice
thought it was terrorism from know the get go
it looks like I'm or more right you know depending on how you characterize
terrorism
it looks like the plane was diverted sabotage or something yeah a.m.
it looks like the most likely culprits are the pilots all which makes sense and
they make sense from day one
because if there was a and natural catastrophe
normally you would have had some sort of communication for at least a couple
seconds before
things went black now I know the better coordinate with other military
contingent back of what it could be most likely the pilot
there could be a host a reason why the pilots were unable to make even
any communication and if they were speaking to anyone it appears in
Malaysia
maybe they were talking maybe they weren't listening maybe they were in the
bathroom maybe they were getting lunch
gmail appear to be super on top at this
plane transportation back yeah I hear ya on that
but I like from BAE one hour one I was like
if the then we would have heard something I may just would be shocking
if we didn't get a mayday mayday you know we've got a significant problem
about the crash
any second now rare authorities do you work this thing
yeah a little help dry i right grandfather
had this awesome glass compass stuck to the windshield of his car
in I wonder if they had one about yeah I know
well I think it was a week as they turned off all the other things that
allow the them to to get track so they're not getting tracked him to go
over 40 hours
they want to meet your dad for what what we actually went out with a very very
briefly just for a second so I
like everybody in the world especially in news is having to become some sort of
tax per
in avionics technology and communication that's what's so in the picture exactly
a horse riding in a be out with a picture for you
the a diagram showing a number of different electronic components
love the aircraft in question I don't know what any of those do but all of
them do transmit some sort of information over varying amounts
above range and they may be interesting to bring CMU 804 could feel you know
you know a little later I'll for a few months whether I was right here are like
that
I so one thing we have learned is that we we assume that if a plane is in the
air intake and communicate in some fashion but they do have limits on the
reins at the Malaysian military radar only goes so far
but the interesting thing in the thing that makes other people believe that
it's not currently just diverted somewhere at the and some
airstrip somewhere but the fact that none of those are transmitting any
information
it seems unlikely that even the pilot theoretically could disable
every single one of those components out the players while they're not missed
some one other person reasons that we thought it turned in that
other direction was the pings that it was getting from the satellites the
doesn't subscribe to
so like it was connecting with the satellites but Malaysian Airlines
doesn't subscribe to that service so
no information was there but they were talking they were like a you got me
think force
Europe part but so they know they think that's why was headed that direction
we go to the pilots there's a sentence here at the bottom the first page to the
store which I guess is a Reuters toward
regarding what you said about the pilots were my favorite dances and some time
investigators were still looking a quote four or five possibilities including a
diversion that was intentional or under duress
or explosion he said this was the source and this is the brother Malaysian
transport minister at the press conference
but whether they're a diversion was intentional under duress or explosion
police said
would search the pilots home if necessary
know who are investigating all two hundred you can search it
go ahead yeah I've got social i think is necessary
I think we've reached a point but look at what point did we're waiting
10 minutes and then when is the right already where do I don't mess it when it
went well as it does every day the surgery rival on order moment where they
ask the wife was there anything
awkward about doing a letter or the I noticed that he looked ill
not busy user ID is diarrhea direction problems are you looking for his car
or away from the best I was not a that's not happening next week
there but his I do think don't you think
that the the cost on the a a
effort to find the the cost is still not as much as the cost
above the news media covering it each day without
any new information yeah that's pretty crazy it's like a search for news
and a search for a plane and the two hopefully we'll meet somewhere in the
middle
at some point Ashleigh Banfield head will explode leadership if she doesn't
come up with a new piece of information
on them and well we'll see exactly what we talked about and I did
yesterday and how they just nonstop and when these engines in the sea with 9
am-noon I know under whatever was turned off CNN was like
100 go
third so you look I feel Eric little completed on a couple these things as
we said yesterday i think is an enormously interesting story
I but at the same time I don't think it's interesting for 24 straight hours
ray
you have to have been a new development as we just told you a new development
and then we're done
with the news portion of this right now we're not gonna continue for two more
hours on this topic
but on the on the back porch in a brief really think that press
because CNN will strangle someone if you don't I feel like they're actually
releasing
too much information to the press if we think it was possibly hijacked
and we know how to track the engine parts I wouldn't tell the guys
on CNN about that cuz they might not have been aware that
for example a modified hey we turned up all the tracking things
and we went for four hours near Pakistan haha they don't know where we are
exit we just told him we think that there might be some chance that you in
that direction
and we know that you're off for four hours and here's all the information we
have on you
because remember they might get %uh played in one other theories they might
give a plane back up in the air knew something terrible with it right
and in which case now they know we can track them
once those engine start humming again rate I wouldn't want them to have that
information
all well yeah well they then get back to my original point which is that the
malaysians don't seem on top of that in any capacity including the
not go to the pilothouse not subscribing to those
jervis is I releasing information that turned out to be incredibly wrong saying
we Bell LL
million and then a diff course they didn't find the plane and they don't you
know and so they're releasing yeah I think you're right they're releasing
information which would be better kept private and I think there's all
wall the pressure on them term world news
well CNN I think the same exact rights the US are poor today that they have
actually hired a witch doctors help locate the play our own
yeah I assume CNN will be doing our coverage on that tonight I love to hate
you I'm not joking either way
