This is Brussels, a countryside that is scattered with castles. Inside the stone walls, where
the Elite and powerful enjoyed safety. Hundreds of years passed since usefulness faded. Yet
the strength remains and the soul becomes present with the wind. The need was security
so a high location, numerous viewpoints and one access was in the planning. Daily life
varied from quiet and dreamy to a chaotic warzone. Only successful protection left many
of these castle standing today. The maintenance over the years has brought the past to life
inside and out. Too many castles to tour in just one visit.
This calls for return trips for more live education.
