Hi, I'm April Kirkhart, with Work of Heart Yoga, and today, I'm going to be teaching
you a sequence on prenatal yoga, for women in their first trimester. It's very important
to always check with your physician, before engaging in any new physical activity, including
yoga, and women who are in their first trimester of pregnancy, as well as second and third
trimester, begin to release a hormone called relaxin, so you need to be careful about over
stretching. If you've never done yoga before, you may want to check with your physician,
before starting now. If you've had a regular practice, it's wonderful to continue your
practice, but maybe practice in a little bit of a softer fashion, so that you're taking
into consideration, the changes your body is going through.
