I always find it hard to answer the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
As a child, I had a lot of dreams of what I wanted to do
I wanted to be a hairdresser
A princess
A veterinary
And at one point, I even wanted to be a cop
The truth is, I have no idea where I'll be three years from now
And that scares me a little bit, yet I find it exiting not knowing
What I do know, however, is that I want to live my life to the fullest.
I want to travel around the world
I want to visit places like New York
Australia
Paris
Rome
China
The rain forests in South America
Bora Bora
London
South Africa, and the list goes on
Although I'm not specifically interested in history, there are certain places I feel like
I need to visit before I die. I am indeed talking about "the seven wonders of the ancient
world".
When I finish upper secondary school, there's a big possibility that I'll study somewhere
overseas.
Lately I've been thinking a lot about what I want to study, and my conclusion is that
I have to study something that I find interesting, and recently I've felt drawn to the media,
so maybe working with video production or something like that, 'cause it's something
I really enjoy and find fascinating. But to be honest, my dreams change all the time,
so who knows?
In a year from now, I'll be 18, and I'll get my license, and be able to do pretty much
whatever I want to.
Despite all the good things about turning 18, I am feeling rather anxious about going
into adulthood without knowing exactly what it is that I want to do with my life.
I guess the bottom line is that I don't have a concrete dream. In the end of the day, the
most important thing is that I'm happy and have the people I love around me.
