Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Tips & Tricks - Episode 24 - Write note to self after hands - Free unlock

hello everyone Michael here from the daily note 2 youtube channel and welcome to another episode of galaxy note 2 tips and tricks episode 24 today i want to show you google announce note to self feature but more importantly how to use this feature although the phone is still in your pocket so let's look at the note to self feature first note buy eggs as you can see it gives you time to cancel that operation but when you let it go it actually sends your email or gmail so if you use gmail and you check email or your gmail regularly i believe this option is great for sending yourself notes you don't need to go back to your phone and check the list of your memos so the problem with google now is that you cannot access it when you're on the lock screen or when the phone is off you could kinda access it with the shortcut by holding down this back button and then you could say google note to self buy a lottery ticket okay so it works if you're in front of your phone and there's one additional thing you could do you could plug in your ear phones here when you plug in your ear phones you can actually hold on this button you could hold on this this button here on your ear phones that came with your galaxy note 2 so once again note to self get a haircut so I verified that it is actually listening to the mike by stuffing this phone under a pillow so anyway if we could just unlock the screen somehow we could get to these features with the phone still in your pockets so here's a way how you could do it by programming your lockscreen and you could work with S voice in a way so let me show you so go to your lock screen and go to and it currently only works with Swipe because if you have a pass code there you cannot enter it go to your lock screen options then here enable Wake up in lock screen and then select Set wake-up command let me just get rid of these so I could show you so we're going to program at unlock with S voice from the home screen and then we will just tap this Wake-up function 1 and select unlock it wants to program our voice unlock, unlock, unlock.... it's done so imagine this phone is in your pocket right now whether it be in jean pocket or your coat pocket and the screen is off obviously so just reach and either hit the home button or this power button and then hold on your hold on ear button here note to self get two haircuts as you can see when we open it it didn't pick up my joke i guess it doesn't make sense to get two haircuts but it sends me an email so there you go but say that you don't use gmail and you still wanna use a feature like this you could still do this with S voice entirely and as you remember when we had the lock screen settings and set here there was another feature here called it was Set wake-up command and then it wakes up your S voice so let's reset this so by default you need to program it so let's program it hi galaxy hi galaxy hi galaxy hi galaxy so from the lock screen when we say hi galaxy it opens up.. it doesn't go to the home screen it doesn't unlock your screen actually opens up S note and let's start so imagine this is in your pocket once again hi galaxy note to self get a haircut and as you notice it's a lot slower than google now but it picked up what you said and it says save to memo now what does that actually mean it actually goes into your S note so when you go to S note the last note is here it has a time step just simply says what you spoke and this is get a haircut definitely note to self having the phone in front of you just doesn't make sense but if we could do it while it's in our pocket when we have this earphone plugged in or you could do it if you have a bluetooth earphone you could do it that way as well i think if we could do it hands-free it is excellent but you still need to reach in tap this and then you need to also remember to tap on your whether it's the key or the button here or the button on your bluetooth headphones so anyway that's the end of this video I hope you got something out of it if you haven't been to my channel yet please come by I have nearly a hundred videos on the galaxy note 2 now and if you haven't subscribed please subscribe because I create a video a day so that you could get the most out of the samsung galaxy note 2 and if you haven't been to my twitter page I just set it up yesterday so I hopefully could get some of you subscribers on that twitter page and you'll get notified when I post these videos up and hopefully when you see something interesting that you could share you could retwit it as well once again thank you for watching
