Hi, this is Martin Shervington, and I'd like to show you had to create an event
on Google plus.
Either you can click on the event button here,
Or you can click on the even button here. And the same way you created a post,
we can create an event.
As you see there are some lovely things that go out,
and people relate to them as well.
So you can click through and decide which one
is most appropriate.
Now let's say we're going to go for the pancakes and blueberries.
And the invite title is going to be
Commoogling on a Sunday
Morning.
And I can see the date here twenty-fifth of October, but we want to change
that to a
Sunday. So we're going to make it for this next Sunday the twenty eighth.
and timewise, I'm going to put it for
Let's go for a 10AM slot.
And we're going to add in an end time.
And on this occasion two hours, that looks pretty good.
The location?
I'm going to do it for the UK.
So let's just say I'm London.
And details?
Come and hang out
and meet new
people on Google
Plus.
And then I'm going to decide who to invite. I'm just going to invite it to my circles.
I may not want everybody to receive the invite.
Then I click invite.
That's it. It's done. So the event is up and Running. You've invited the people you
want to come. And you could use this
for instance, for birthday parties just for your friends and family or you could use it
for business event. And you might want to change the theme then.
Let's just say that you'd like to change the time. I'll show you how to do that as well.
If you click
on the arrow down and you go edit this event,
you can see the times here and let's say I want to increase it because I think I'm
going to have such a great time, going to take it to 1 PM. So we're going to do a three-hour slot.
I'm going to add a little bit extra in it, bring
your friends.
And put a big smiley face.
And I save that. That's it.
Whilst we're talking about event, I'd like to introduce you to
Your calendar as well. If I click on calendar,
which is from my Gmail you'll see that it takes me to a
a screen where I can choose, I'm in the UK at the moment
and choose a time zone and I can choose whether to ‘get reminded’ about
events.
And I'm going to click on yes.
Next I can choose whether I want to be emailed With a reminder, whether I want a pop
up
the reminder before an event.
I do need to link up my mobile phone in order for an SMS to
happen.
I'm just going to choose for now Email and pop up.
Then I'm going to choose start using Google calendar.
Very quick introduction to the calendar but what I want to show you was that the
event that we set up, the Commoogling on the Sunday morning at 10 AM until 1
PM
has put itself into my calendar.
Very simple indeed and everything just getting increasingly integrated.
That's how you create an event on Google Plus.
