In the past series that we've discussed on FL Studio, we mostly focused on sampling.
Sampling is when we took a recorded sample or a sound and put it in the software to manipulate
it to whatever goal you had in mind in order to produce the music that you wanted to produce.
In this series and the following series, we will be speaking on generators. Generators
make their own sound, there's completely original sound from nothing. They mostly work with
wave forms and other built-in algorithms like that and usually have their own filters and
effects, and we'll be showing you how to use all of these things to your advantage and
how to understand the basis of them when working with them in FL Studio. We'll be touching
on most of the basic FL stock plug-ins. However, as we've discussed the VST instruments in
the last series, the same applies to these. You can go on-line. You can find third party
VST instruments used as generators in FL Studio, and that'll all be covered in the next series
too.
