Hello, my name is Sean Furman. I'm one of the Deaf Specialists at the
Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH).
I'd like to take a minute to talk about public safety.
ACDHH recognizes that public safety is important for everyone including Deaf
and Hard of Hearing. Are you prepared for the unexpected?
We need consumers to participate with emergency response professionals on
Friday, July 31. This FREE training is comprised of 3 parts.
First, emergency professionals will learn how to communicate with the Deaf
and Hard of Hearing communities in the event of a disaster.
Second, you will have the chance to tell the professionals what is important to
you or what issues may arise in times of emergency or disaster.
Last, the professionals will share their role and responsibility with you during
times of an emergency or disaster.
This training will be fully communication accessible to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
