Chris Christie's Post Frank Lautenberg Move

the sartre write-in with uh... frank lautenberg he was eighty-nine years old he's been serving since twenty tender twenty ten toward two thousand eight excuse me um... he had planned to to retire from the senate uh... when his term was up in twenty fourteen he had left the senate i guess about uh... ten years ago maybe a little bit more uh... after our first coming in and uh... back in the nineties hurley nineties was and uh... his actually in his second turn in the senate he was in some respects of better from a progressive standpoint was a guy with a little seniority at that uh... than the second go-around uh... but he did his best to star things up he had uh... he had and now it's too or i should say uh... he had pursued improving federal gun safety laws he had looked for a federal resources uh... to help by new jersey and terms of uh... sandy any was also reforming u_s_ chemical safety laws by uh... uh... working through a bipartisan third group to modernize the toxics substance control act which basically said uh... we need to know what clinton's companies are putting into our environment um... solaralert don the question now and it appears that uh... um... as far as lautenberg is concerned a feeling that seat christine is fast now with appointing a an interim acting the senator who then would phase a special election in presumably in november you would have it at the same time it becomes a little bit tricky for christy at this point because he's up for reelection in this year twenty thirteen and those are one of those elections where you don't want too much activity going on because christy assumes he will win and the size of his victory will be significant when he decides whether or not he's going to run in twenty-six tane for the presidency if u pop point to a democrats say someone like cory booker who i think uh... people are should know regulars as uh... this program should know at this point that uh... i see uh... cory booker as perhaps a nice guy but also with um... an incredible corporate a streak and uh... at this day and age i think that's one of the worst things that uh... democrats can aquino had to uh... so you've got lautenberg who was in high should say from eighty-two until the mid nineties i believe it was early two thousand and uh... came back about that write of six years later after for itself tore celia at the quit preview senator robert or so at the quit because of a corruption investigation surprise surprise and uh... so the the question is book risky appoint booker thereby theoretically bringing out less democrats in twenty thirteen because of doctor will be the presumptive favorite to hold that seat until twenty fourteen scaring off probably a lot of competition in the event that christy appoints a republican booker will be running in twenty thirteen presumably because he would want that advantage to build his campaign being it's twenty fourteen he would want that advantage uh... and he would dr more democrats out to the polls in twenty thirteen cutting into christie's lead assuming that christy would win because his is poll numbers are pretty good in new jersey and proceed as i walked back because he wants a blowout this show they can appeal across the board to americans uh... despite the fact that chances are you going to drop out of the twenty sixteen presidential sweeps the day after new hampshire would be my guess the
