Vampire Diaries fans already got a sneak peek at its spin-off, The Originals, when the backdoor
pilot aired last April, but Celebified's got the scoop on The CW's remaining NEW fall dramas,
straight from the TCA Summer Press Tour! First up is Reign, a youth-obsessed drama
about Mary Stuart, the teen who would become Mary, Queen of Scots, and her four teenage
ladies-in-waiting. Adelaide Kane is strong as Mary and Toby Regbo is great as Francis.
Reign is basically a 16th century teen soap opera, so if you're a fan of the CW's normal
female-driven fare, this will likely suit your fancy. For others, however, it may be
a short reign.
On the other hand, we have The Tomorrow People, an intriguing sci-fi drama about a paranormal
species of humans born with powers of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communications
who are being hunted by a government group that sees them as a threat to humanity. The
action centers on high-schooler Stephen Jameson, played by Robbie Amell, who learns that he
may be the key to saving the Tomorrow People race. Amell is solid as is the fine supporting
cast that including Mad Men's Peyton List and Luke Mitchell. Let us know which new CW
series you're most looking forward to, and stick with us at Celebified for more Fall
TV scoop!
