My name is Nora Alami
I'm a senior at Colorado College.
My major is Psychology, I'm a Philosophy minor.
As far as what I'm involved in on campus, I'm really involved in Dance Workshop.
Any sort of dance, honestly. A lot of dance adjuncts, Faculty Dance Concert,
And then I'm also directing a play right now.
I was definitely nervous about the Block Plan coming here because I was scared that, like,
"Okay, if you only take one class at a time, will you have the opportunity to intersect any of your classes like a semester would offer?"
But I found the exact opposite.
I found that because you have three and a half weeks to truly immerse yourself in one discipline,
And then do that all over again in the next discipline,
You really start to appreciate the art of any sort of class that you're in
And learn to pull from other experiences that you have.
So ultimately I would say the CC experience is up to you. It's anything that you want to make it.
The Block Plan allows you to be a biologist for an entire month or a neuroscientist.
A Studio artist. A photographer.
It's anything that you want to make it.
Giving back to CC, I think, can happen in a lot of different ways.
So, as far as what I like to do is I try to do my best to continually be involved on the campus - and outside of it.
It's almost like taking my studies to the next level or taking whatever I'm involved in to the next level.
Giving back. That's so CC.
