The companies are organized in such a way that
it doesn't matter what happens to the environment.
For them everything is about pumping up as much oil as possible.
Because oil is money.
And the money is primarily not even going to pay salaries
as the workers do not get paid much
it is going to the profit of those at the top, for the elite.
And if they do notice, they just put temporary pipes there.
Well if they have a spill, so what?
They send some people just to pretend they're doing something.
So it is a very dangerous situation because
practically all the fish has disappeared from the river.
Apparently they are not there at all anymore.
Well, what about nature?
There are much less birds. And no mosquitos.
All of this has an effect. There are no mosquitoes
Again, this effects the fish.
It all has an effect, all things pull each other.
Our agriculture is completely destroyed.
The reindeers ...
We had a reindeer farm here in Ust Usinsk.
But they just took all our grazing grounds away.
We do not have a single piece of grazing land anymore.
We have no reindeers left.
We have none here, we do not even see living reindeer any more.
The oil men will, of course, just continue as they do if we keep silent.
I think people must be active so that this does not happen, and of course
if we will be active, I think we can stop this oil flow in our river.
But if not then the majority of our rivers will loose the valuable species.
That is definite.
