Hello, my name is Amelia Tallman, and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to talk
to you today about arranging flowers. Now when you want to arrange flowers you will
need some tools and I have them here. First thing that you will need is a pair of scissors
or sheers. You will want some scissors that you will not be using for other things like
cutting fabric or hair, because cutting through the fibers of flowers and greens will dull
the blade pretty quickly; so it might frustrate you when you are trying to cut something else
if you have been using it for flower arranging. The next tool you will need is a knife. You
want a rather short bladed knife that does not have serrations on the edge, because you
will cut the stems of the flowers against your thumb, and you don’t want the serrations
to be pressing into your fingers. And when you go in to begin cleaning your flowers,
you will also want to have a large pitcher of water ready to go directly to put your
flowers in once you cleaned them.
