GOOD EVENIG AND WELCOME TO BIOLOGY. TODAY WE WILL BE TALKING MORE ABOUT PHOTOSYNTHESIS.
Photosynthesis is the process in which plants take in sunlight to create oxygen. The plant
needs three main components to create the oxygen, water, sunlight and carbon dioxide.
The plant needs sunlight so it can create food molecules out of the water and the carbon
dioxide.
Then water and carbon dioxide is needed to be turned into food for the plant. After the
process is complete oxygen is released as a waste product. The organelle that creates
the process of photosynthesis is the chloroplasts. The process creates oxygen for all of the
organisms that breath oxygen and after the organisms breath the oxygen it exhales CO2
which is recycled in the plant to create even more oxygen, the process is a constant loop.
The chemical reactions that occur in the plant are where the sunlight is taken in by the
plant so it can create its own food. the sunlight is used to make adenosine triphosphate(ATP)
from adenosine diphosphate(ADP). Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) released its energy, to
combine carbon dioxide from the air and water from the roots into glucose, becoming adenosine
diphosphate (ADP) again.
