Hey everybody, Jordan here from Mash facts here to bring you 10 radical
facts about the 90s. Number one. A first edition Charizard in mint condition
released as part of the Pokemon Trading Card Game in 1999 can fetch more than
$50,000. Number two. The Voice who announced: "You've got mail" for AOL recorded
the saying in his living room on a cassette deck. The guy who recorded it is
now an uber driver. Number three. Everyone's favorite 90's boy band, the
Backstreet Boys were actually named after a flea market in Orlando Florida
the Backstreet market. Number four. In 1993 a Russian cosmonaut took his
Gameboy to space. He was only allowed to take one game for the trip and he chose
Tetris. Wouldn't have been my first choice but hey. Pokemon Silver I think... Oh
Crystal! The definitive edition, yeah, okay. Number five. Many of the Power Rangers
episodes were shot in New Zealand but funnily enough, the show was band there
for violence until 2011. Triceratops! That's what they say... Number
six. The girl band Destiny's Child were originally called "Girls Tyme". Inspired
Number Seven. The iconic t-rex roar from Jurassic Park was actually a slowed down
recording of a Jack Russell terrier playing with a rope. Number eight. Mmm Bop
pioneer 90's boy band Hanson has their own beer brand, "mmmhops".
Number nine. In the original Sonic the Hedgehog the Sega logo and the sound at
the beginning took up one-eighth of the ROM cartridge for the game. Number ten.
During its development the codename for Nintendo 64 was project reality. So
that's been our top ten... I'm not saying radical again... so that's been our top ten
